    Welcome back Big Tymers! I hope you enjoyed the All Star festivities more than we did. The NBA is a business, but they propositioned HBCUs to make this weekend happened. Historically Black Colleges and Universities have been around since the 1800s. The support has been needed. But in order to make this All Star happen it was on full display over the weekend. Speaking of the weekend, Blake Griffin put the Nets over the top by signing with them........or naw. We dive into that and much more this week on the Big Tymers podcast. Also congratulations to Dawn Staley and Joni Taylor. They are the first Black Coaches to meet in the SEC women's basketball title game. But in the midst of getting everything back on track we wanted to press through. This week talk about the ice cold Lakers without AD AND Dennis Schroeder. Give our update on the MVP race, the Coaching hot seat, and of course the Nets. Why aren't people talking about KD's injury a little more seriously? We give our heat check on the Pacers and Jazz and wrap it up with thoughts and prayers for Tiger Woods. Congratulations to Queen Naomi Osaka.     This week, as always, we have a bevy of topics. First thoughts and condolences to all of the influential sports journalists that have passed this year. There have been a lot. Without you sports would not be what it is.  The National Anthem. Why are we still discussing it? The NBA is slowly losing control of its "For The Players' league. Adam Silver, this episode is for you. The Utah Jazz say they are for real. We discuss an upcoming 8 to 10 game stretch and what we are looking for out of them to not consider them the 2015 Atlanta Hawks. Nets playing defense? Kyle Kuzma Rodman?
