    WHERE ARE THE CANDIDATES? WHERE ARE THE VOTERS? AND WHO'S BEING LEFT OUT? On this episode of The Arrington Gavin Show, host Arrington Gavin continues his unfiltered discussion about political accountability, smart campaign strategy, and the importance of candidates engaging with ALL voters, regardless of political affiliation. After recently attending a local candidates forum featuring individuals running for City Council and School Board, Arrington shares his disappointment with the lack of participation from both candidates and the community. With approximately 200 chairs available, only 15–20 citizens attended! Even more concerning, out of 15 City Council candidates, only FIVE participated, while just THREE of the 13 School Board candidates showed up. Arrington also raises questions about the fairness of candidate forums after hearing from an Independent candidate who claimed they were denied the opportunity to participate. In Part 2, we're asking some tough questions: Are candidates making a strategic mistake by avoiding forums hosted by opposing political groups? Should every candidate have an equal opportunity to participate in public forums? Why aren't more citizens showing up to hear from the people seeking their votes? Are political parties and organizations doing enough to encourage meaningful voter engagement? How can candidates claim to represent everyone if they're unwilling to engage with people outside their political base? THE BOTTOM LINE: Whether you're a Democrat, Republican, or Independent, public service requires accountability, transparency, and a willingness to face tough questions!
