CRASH BOX THERAPY BRINGS SAFE STRESS RELIEF TO FITCHBURG WITH SMASHING SESSIONS AND A PAINT SPLATTER ROOM [COMMUNITY & CULTURE]

On 93.1 JAMZ Community and Culture Inside Out, DJ Fusion talked with Sarah, the owner of Crash Box Therapy, Fitchburg’s new destination for people who need a real, physical release. The concept is simple and powerful. You can book a session to safely smash glassware and select items, or step into a paint splatter room and let creativity do the heavy lifting. Crash Box Therapy was created for the moments when life feels heavy and you need a place to put that energy. Sarah comes from a wellness background through her other business, Earthly Temptations, where she offers sound baths, meditation, and relaxation experiences. After sessions, clients kept saying the same thing. They felt calm, but they still needed a place to smash something. That request sparked the idea, and Sarah found a gap in the Madison area. There was no dedicated smash space here, so she built one. Crash Box Therapy is designed around safety and structure. Guests get suited up with protective gear including a painter suit, helmet, and eye protection. Everyone signs a waiver, then learns safe swinging and throwing methods before starting. It keeps the experience fun, purposeful, and controlled. The business also solves a big problem. People do break things when they are stressed, but it usually happens in the wrong place at the wrong time, with big consequences. Crash Box Therapy creates a safer alternative where the release is intentional and the environment is built for it. Not everyone wants to break things, which is why the paint therapy room exists. The paint splatter room is open to ages eight and up and can fit up to seven people, making it a strong option for family fun, birthday parties, and group celebrations. For the smashing experience, the age limit starts at 15 and up. Appointments are required, not walk ins, because each session needs to be prepared with the right items and safety setup. Crash Box Therapy is located at 319 West Beltline Highway in Fitchburg, right off the Beltline near Easy Pawn and Pitcher’s Pub. It is accessible for entry with wide doors and a ramp, and the team is ready to help clients as needed. They also host special events that bring different audiences into the space, including work stress nights, ladies focused nights, and smash plus sound bath sessions that combine physical release with a calming wind down. Looking ahead, they plan to expand events, increase corporate bookings, and introduce glow in the dark paint options for the paint therapy room. Crash Box Therapy is also looking for donations, especially glassware and breakable items people do not want to resell. They accept small electronics and appliances too, but do not take laptops or computers because batteries can be hazardous when smashed. Donation pickup times are available Sundays and Mondays by emailing info@crashboxtherapy.com. To book your session, visit CrashBoxTherapy.com. For questions, you can email info@crashboxtherapy.com or call 608 285 5059. If you are searching for a rage room near Madison, stress relief in Fitchburg, a paint splatter room in Wisconsin, or a unique wellness experience that actually matches real life stress, Crash Box Therapy is worth checking out.   See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

  2. MADISON STREETWEAR IS LEVELING UP WITH D'GEMC [COMMUNITY & CULTURE]

MADISON STREETWEAR IS LEVELING UP WITH D'GEMC [COMMUNITY & CULTURE]

Madison streetwear just got a serious upgrade. On 93.1 JAMZ Community and Culture Inside Out, DJ Fusion sat down with Drew, founder of D’GMC, a Black owned streetwear brand in Madison, Wisconsin that is redefining what urban fashion can represent. D’GEMC is not just a name. It stands for Dedication, Gratitude, Excellence, Maturity, and Character. The brand was officially launched in 2022, but the grind behind it stretches back nearly eight years. What started as pressing shirts at home and selling pieces at local venues has now evolved into a fully produced designer level clothing collection. The Dedication 22 Collection includes: Premium denim jeans with custom logo buttons and stitched branding High quality leather pullover Two jogger sets including zip up and pullover styles Crew tees and polo tees Branded beanie hats Fully customized labels, wash instructions, and interior detailing This is not a print on demand t shirt operation. Every piece is designed from thread to finish. From embroidery placement to fabric selection, Jemcee focuses on quality materials and intentional craftsmanship. Drew explained that much of his inspiration came from travel, family, and especially his son. While building his career as a local music artist, he wore his own designs on stage as promotion. Over time, the fashion side began to gain more traction. Instead of chasing short term moves, he made a long term investment into building a sustainable brand. That decision represents the maturity piece of D’GEMC meaning. The Dedication 22 drop is structured as a full collection, not just individual pieces. Customers can mix and match denim, leather, joggers, tees, and hats to create a cohesive look. It follows the same strategy major design houses use, giving Madison a streetwear brand that feels national in quality while staying rooted locally. D’GEMC is currently available online at DGEMC.online and in store at Serial Clothing on East Washington in Madison. For Drew, being a Black owned business in Madison means progress. It means moving toward the good. It means building something the city can acknowledge and support. With the winter focused launch underway and a summer drop already in the works, Jemcee is positioning itself as a serious contender in Madison streetwear. Support local. Support Black owned businesses. Support brands built with dedication. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

  3. Drive Oscar in Sun Prairie Offers Affordable Car Rentals With a Legacy First Mission

Drive Oscar in Sun Prairie Offers Affordable Car Rentals With a Legacy First Mission

Sun Prairie is growing fast, and one local business is filling a gap that national chains ignored. On 93.1 JAMZ Community and Culture Inside Out, DJ Fusion highlighted Drive Oscar, a Black owned car rental business in Sun Prairie run by Antonio, a local entrepreneur focused on family, service, and long term legacy. Drive Oscar is not positioned at the airport. It is not built around fees and friction. It is built around community convenience and affordability. Antonio chose Sun Prairie after noticing something simple. People from surrounding towns were driving into Madison just to rent a car, because there were no options closer to home. Sun Prairie had booming growth, plenty of car dealerships, and no real rental presence from the big companies. Antonio saw a solution and moved on it. Drive Oscar now operates a fleet of about a dozen vehicles and offers a wide range of options that match real needs. Customers can rent a pickup truck for moving, a smaller car for getting around town, an SUV for comfort, or a minivan and seven seater for family travel. Antonio keeps pricing affordable, often landing in the $30 to $50 per day range depending on the vehicle and timing, and he offers discounts for longer rentals. He also adds extra value with occasional perks like money back, free days for multi day bookings, and gift cards. What makes the story even bigger is the mission behind it. Antonio put the business in his son’s name from day one. He says it plainly. He works for his son. That is the difference between talking about legacy and building it on paper and in practice. Antonio has three daughters as well, and he wants his children to grow into ownership, responsibility, and self sufficiency. He also speaks openly about the realities of building a business without loans or grants. Maintaining a fleet requires constant reinvestment. Engines, transmissions, repairs, and upkeep never stop. Antonio handles it, keeps the pricing steady, and leans on consistency, research, and strong relationships to keep growing. He has spent serious time learning the funding side, approaching banks, asking questions repeatedly, and doing the unglamorous work of building credit and trust. Drive Oscar is located at: 1500 West Main Street, Suite 1, Sun Prairie, WI To browse vehicles and book online:DriveOscar.com and search the Sun Prairie location. To contact Antonio directly:608 440 1989 If you want to support a Black owned business in Wisconsin and you want a rental experience that feels human, local, and flexible, Drive Oscar in Sun Prairie is worth checking out. A Bold Vision for Education in Madison At the heart of Madison’s south side stands a movement that’s redefining what public education can look like. One City Schools, founded in 2014 by Kaleem Caire, is more than a charter school network—it’s a community, powered revolution with the mission to cultivate future leaders who are not only academically prepared but also passionate about changing the world for the better. In an exclusive interview with DJ Fusion on 93.1 JAMZ's Fusion Afternoons, Kaleem Caire and former Madison Police Chief and current One City board member Noble Ray shared powerful insights into their work, growth, and goals for the future. A Mission Rooted in Equity and Excellence One City Schools operates with a clear mission: to prepare children for college, careers, and community leadership. Through an extended school year and longer school days, they ensure that every child—especially those historically underserved—has the time, support, and environment they need to thrive. "We’re producing transformational leaders," said Caire. "Our kids are joyful, engaged, and motivated. We’re working with a high, need population, and it shows in our academic gains." A Two,Generation Impact Approach One City isn’t just educating kids—they’re empowering families. With programs serving children from infancy through 8th grade, they take a holistic approach to success, combining rigorous academics with family and community engagement. The preschool accepts children as young as two, while staff with infants can enroll them onsite in the school’s infant center. What Sets One City Apart As a public charter school authorized by the Universities of Wisconsin, One City is open to students from across the state. With no entrance exams and a lottery, based admission when applications exceed capacity, equity is baked into the process. Key features include: Year, round academic calendar (ending in mid,July) , Athletics from kindergarten through middle school , Diverse extracurriculars like golf, ice skating, and Topgolf partnerships , Strong father involvement and parent, teacher engagement , High staff retention and community volunteerism Real Results, Real Progress Despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic, One City Schools has delivered impressive academic growth. From 2023–2024 alone: Black student reading proficiency rose from 2% to 21% , Latino student reading proficiency jumped from 16% to 42% , In third and fourth grade, the gains were even greater—up to 60% for Latino students "We’re showing what’s possible when you believe in kids," Caire noted. "We’re not just trying to catch up—we’re setting the bar." A Culture of Belonging and Joy Visitors to One City consistently notice three things: the joy on students’ faces, deep engagement in learning, and a visible, diverse parent presence—especially fathers. The culture is vibrant, welcoming, and focused on developing proud, solution, driven young leaders. Community Partnership, Not Competition One City Schools works alongside MMSD and other local districts to elevate all students, not divide them. As Noble Ray emphasized, "Education is too important to lock into one model. We need innovation, collaboration, and community commitment." 10th Anniversary Celebration: Rally for Our Future On July 10, 2025, One City Schools will host "Rally for Our Future" at The Sylvee in Madison. Featuring keynote speaker LeVar Burton and education icon Dr. Gloria Ladson,Billings, this celebration is both a fundraiser and a rallying cry for the future of Wisconsin’s children. Proceeds from the event will support One City’s operating costs and ongoing renovations at their Pleasant Rowland Leadership Campus—a 157,000,square,foot hub for K–8 education on Madison’s Beltline. How You Can Support One City Attend the Rally on July 10: Tickets available at weareonecity.org and The Sylvee’s website , Donate: Your support helps bridge the funding gap between charter and traditional public schools , Visit the school: See the difference for yourself , Spread the word: Share their mission, stories, and success One City Schools is building more than a school system—they’re building a movement. A movement focused on joy, achievement, and leadership for all children, especially those too often left behind. With ten years of proof and a bold vision for the future, One City is creating the change Wisconsin needs—one student at a time. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
