    Stuffed Shells Surprise

On this twelfth episode, we combined two legendary Italian dishes into one! We discuss a, yet again, questionable incident in Florida. Then, we take everyone back to school (no student loans required) for a quick educational lesson on how to enjoy your summer without breaking the bank. Finally, with summer around the corner, we each made a list of our Top 5 summer lovin' foods that we just can't wait to feast on under the summer sun! Carne Asada Tacos with Mango Guac

On our eleventh episode, we're thinking critically. Should you look into a bag of chips to select the ones you want? What if we never needed to sleep? Is Aki still sleepwalking even though she thinks it hasn't happened in 10 years? The questions of the universe perplex us! Oh, and Matt has a rather paranormal experience that cannot be explained...

    Stuffed Salmon

On our tenth episode, we're feasting on quite possibly our best meal yet! We briefly recap the NFL draft and then test each other on our baseball knowledge (one of us is pretending to not know anything but really does to make herself look better). Finally, in an homage to our mothers for this Mother's Day, we list just a few of the many reasons why we love our moms so much! Recipe: https://youtu.be/21Fsj51yv8o

    Slutty Cheesecake Bars

On this ninth episode, we indulge ourselves in quite possibly the most amazingly delicious dessert ever created. Then, we recap our recent vacation to the gorgeous Caribbean island of Curaçao. Of course, no vacation can ever go smoothly! Recipe: https://www.delish.com/cooking/recipe-ideas/a49102/slutty-cheesecake-bars-recipe/

    Eggs Benedict

On their eighth episode Matt and Aki have a classic brunch dish... for dinner! Aki grills Matt about how (supposedly) few Marvel movies he has seen. Then, Matt and Aki reveal what's grinding their gears this week. Their Top 5 lists will have you reaching for your favorite cheese as they count down theirs!

  6. 03/28/2021

Paccheri Pasta with Seafood Vodka Sauce

On our seventh episode, we celebrate Aki's birthday! We digest some interesting facts about her birthday and ponder what it means to be in a quarter life crisis. Then, Matt proclaims his love to Aki, at her request. Finally, after giving in to an overwhelming amount of temptation, Aki opens her birthday gifts!

  7. 03/21/2021

    Charcuterie and Cheese Board

On our sixth episode we're feasting on our very own charcuterie and cheese board. To commemorate National Let's Laugh Day, we unleash some unforgettable corny jokes to set the festive mood. Then, just like the scene out of the movie Old School, we go headfirst into a debate about some of the more pressing topics in today's society.

  8. 03/14/2021

    Mediterranean Lasagna

On our fifth episode we take a leap of faith and make meatless (oh, the humanity!) lasagna. After recuperating from realizing just how good it is, we explore both of our ancestral pasts through AncestryDNA. On another edition of What Grinds Our Gears, we just can't help ourselves but get worked up over the perplexities of society! Lasagna Recipe: https://midwestfoodieblog.com/mediterranean-lasagna/
