    Week 2 CD 1864 The Book of Jude = The Reward of Righteousness or Rebellion " REMEMBER REBELLIONS REWARD - CHOOSE RIGHTEOUSNESS" In 2026 the Word of the Lord to VWC been “Choices.” We're in week #2 of our new series this morning on the book of Jude. If it goes as planned it will take us at least a month to cover it.  Last week in the series starter we talked about Contending For The Faith.  This morning we're going to be looking at Jude chapter 1 verses 5 through 7 with a thought about "REMEMBER REBELLIONS REWARD." Loosely this is what we're going to be looking at in the next 3 coming services; Jude 8–16 — CHOOSE YOUR PATH Jude 17–23 — BUILD & KEEP Jude 24–25 — TRUST THE KEEPER And there's a sermon thread running through all five weeks: Our choices have consequences, but our choices don't have to be made without God's help. Brother Jason on the screen:  *1Co 10:1-5 KJV 1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. *Text: Jude 1:5–7 (KJV) Jud 1:5-7 KJV 5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. 6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Note remembrance, Jesus teaches us that it's the holy Ghost that comforts us with the truth:  *John 14:26 KJV But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your Remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.  REMEMBER and you will not be hindered by what has happened in the past! With the Lord's help we will learn by example rather than evil experience! Choose to remember what happened to those who rebelled. Jude gives three examples: #1 Israel in the Wilderness Reread Jude 1:5 (KJV) I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. Note I will therefore put you in remembrance though you once knew this, they let the word of God slip out of their minds like a water slipping out of a cracked vessel. Hebrews 2:1 (KJV) "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip." Read God's promise and Exodus chapter 6 verses 6 through 8. But they let the promises sniff on by: *Read Numbers 14:26-32 (KJV)  #2 Angels who Left their Proper Habitation *Read #3 Sodom and Gomorrha The common thread is rebellion followed by... Jude groups them together to make a single, urgent point to the Church: God’s character has not changed. The false teachers claiming that God's grace gives license to live in rebellion, sexual immorality, or lawlessness are walking in the exact steps of these three historical groups—and their end will be the same. In closing: Jude says: Israel experienced God's deliverance, but some afterward believed not. The angels had a position given to them by God, but they kept not their first estate. Sodom and Gomorrha knew what God had established, but turned away into rebellion. Three different examples. Three different kinds of rebellion. One warning. Rebellion has a reward. And Jude is saying, Remember it. Today, you can make your choice. Choose obedience. Choose faithfulness. Choose God's Word. Choose to remain where God has placed you. Because you may choose the road— but the road chooses the destination.

    CD 1860 Obey and You Shall Not Stray

    CD 1860 Obey and You Shall Not Stray “Let His Word be the answer, not the question.” Bro. Jason: “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” — John 14:15, KJV Text: ***  “Obey and You Will Not Stray” is a very strong sermon theme. It is simple, memorable, and has a clear biblical progression. Tonight's message will be built around the idea that obedience keeps us walking in the path God has already revealed. OBEY AND YOU WILL NOT STRAY 1. Obey the Word — and you will not stray from Truth. “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” — Psalm 119:105, KJV God's Word doesn't merely tell us what to believe; it shows us where to walk. That connects beautifully with your thought: “Let His Word be the answer, not the question.” When God's Word says go, we go. When it says stop, we stop. When it says forsake, we forsake. When it says follow, we follow. 2. Obey His Voice — and you will not stray from His Way. “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it…” — Isaiah 30:21, KJV There is something powerful here: God gives direction, but we must respond with obedience. The danger isn't necessarily that we don't know God's way. Sometimes we know the way and simply choose another way. 3. Obey His Will — and you will please His heart. “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” — John 8:29, KJV Jesus gives us the perfect example. His goal wasn't merely to avoid sin. His desire was to please His Father. And then 1 John 3:22: “…because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.” So you have a beautiful progression: The Word → The Way → The Will Obey the Word → Stay in the Way → Please the Lord. And there's another verse: “If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.” — Job 36:11, KJV That gives you the actual “obey” language right in the text. And perhaps the closing thought could be: “Every time I obey God's Word, I take another step on God's path. Every time I deliberately disobey His Word, I take a step toward straying.” Obey—and you will not stray.

Victoria: Isa 40:1 KJV Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. *Joh 14:18 KJV I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Text: 2Co 1:1-5 KJV 1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia: 2 Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. Note "Achaia" means trouble, note verse 4 speaks of trouble. Take the promise to heart: *Pro 12:13 KJV The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble. Turn to the Gospel of Luke please: Read first: *Luk 8:43-48 KJV 43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, 44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. 45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. 47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. 48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace. Go back to the start: *Luk 8:41-43 KJV 41 And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house: 42 For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him. 43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Drop down past what we read earlier: *Luk 8:48-56 KJV 48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace. 49 While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. 50 But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. 51 And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden. 52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. 53 And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. 54 And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. 55 And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat. 56 And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.

    CD 1780 Secrets: Self - Satan - Savior  - Part 3 #3 The Savior's Secrets (Mysteries of God and the Gospel) *Read Mark 4:11 & 23-25 (KJV) And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. 24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. 25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.  *Read Romans 16:25-27 (KJV) Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: 27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen. The Savior secrets are in His Word and when we hear His Word faith comes! And when Faith comes then you and I can live by obedience to that truth that makes us free! Let's finish out the year in the strength of the Lord and let Him prepare us for His destiny in our lives! Remember secrets come because of our relationship with him through the spirit and that affects our relational relationships in the world!

    CD 1780 Secrets: Self - Satan - Savior  - Part 1 We started the year out with our theme being secrets. As the norm we preached the first several weeks on that subject and then we moved on. But now as we're closing out 2025 which seems impossible we're going to finish out the year with a deeper revelation of secrets that's going to help us in the coming year and our relationships!  Bro. Jason: *Deuteronomy 29:29  The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. Notice we have a responsibility to receive God's revelation and then pass that Revelation on to our children! Notice how the verse ends that we including the next generation may be able to do all the words of the law! We need to take responsibility for the generation and their actions because of Faith or lack thereof! Turn with me to the book of Hebrews chapter 1 please for our opening text: *Text: Hebrews 1:1-6 (KJV) God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. Notice in these verses of scripture that we have the profits to hear from God then in the last days where the Revelation that he's going to talk to us through his son the Lord Jesus Christ! So the secret thing belongs to the Lord that Revelation comes by Jesus Christ. So this morning we need to remind ourselves of the secrets of: Self, Satan, and Savior! #1 Self Secrets (Things Hidden within Man) *Read Jeremiah 17:9-10 (KJV) The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. *Read Matthew 15:15-20 (KJV) Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable. 16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? 17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: 20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. *Read Genesis 6:5-9 (KJV) And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. Just as God gave Noah Grace in the time of judgment God has gave us Grace now through the sacrifice of the Lamb of God his son Jesus Christ! Our old heart is dominat
