Bailey enlists the help of her friend Jane to open up the 2019 investigation into her broken heart after Dave, a Greenpoint musician, dumped her seemingly out of nowhere. With hindsight, hours of free time during the pandemic, and new resources, they hope to discover the true source of the breakup and find the ever elusive closure for Bailey, and perhaps for all women, who have experienced the sudden end to a relationship before it could really begin— by a Love Criminal.

    Closure?

    Closure?

After a truly traumatic discovery and spiral last week, Bailey braves the mic “one last time” (sung to the tune of Hamilton— Bailey insisted that be listed in the description).

The women discuss boundaries, Bball Rob, spiritual awakenings, and of course, the ever elusive “closure.”

(Sex) Therapy and the Male Perspective

(Sex) Therapy and the Male Perspective

Bailey and Jane bring in Graham, Jane's boyfriend, to help analyze recent text messages between Bailey and Dave. Then, the women call Marci— a therapist, intuitive, healer, and childhood friend of Bailey— to get an unbiased professional opinion of the relationship, including an in depth analysis of their sex life. Graham returns for some hot takes on the "read receipts" text messaging style. Bailey is left with a big decision to make.

Jane and Bailey continue their technological deep dive, first dipping their toes into the revealing world of LinkedIn. They parse through Dave's resume, dissecting his high school experience and jobs he's held. Bailey has a surprising lead in the form of her friend Lenny, who works at Verizon and confirms much of the communication that's taken place, in addition to shedding some light on some surprising FaceTimes. Oh and also, Dave texted Bailey.

Loved it

This show is hilarious, and scarily spot-on at capturing the little tics and subtleties of dealing with a pseudo-nice guy situationship (or modern dating in general). Need a season 2, stat.
