Sobre Silvia: Silvia es Licenciada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina, donde nació y vivió hasta los 35 años. En ese momento, por motivos afectivos, se trasladó a México, país donde decidió continuar su vida desde hace 24 años. A partir de ahí inició otro camino respecto a su formación, en el área de las Artes como recurso terapéutico y la encuadernación como soporte objeto de su obra.  Es encuadernadora y líder del proyecto: “Fetiches de cartón”, de producción artística artesanal de libros de artista en la Ciudad de México, donde reside.  Le gusta pensar que crea libros, libretas y diarios como espacios para que otras mujeres se expresen. Recupera materiales, técnicas y oficios. Gusta de lo múltiple, lo mucho y lo viejo. Tramas, hilos, papeles y colores son su materia.  Ha impartido seminarios de este oficio en instituciones universitarias y talleres de Argentina, Miami, Ciudad de México y en el interior de la República Mexicana. Es asesora permanente de artistas visuales que utilizan el libro como soporte de obra. Comienzo mi proyecto solista POETIC DRUMS y publico mi CD MESSAGE FROM MOTHER AFRICA (2000) y su video VHS  LIVE AT THE MUSIC GALLERY (2002)  Mi trabajo poetico aplica y expande los conceptos de ritmo, improvisación y texturas sonicas ambientales junto al uso del color para extraer poemas dentro de poemas y la manipulación tipográfica y el diseño gráfico para recrear objetos y paisajes referidos en las palabras de los poemas.
