I started listening in to aaronthebland’s now dubbed “The FEARquency podcast” when he first began recording, but life got the best of me and I fell way behind…almost 80 episodes behind. I decided to catch back up and over the course of a little over 2 months, I began my quest to catch up on every episode I had missed. I was pleasantly greeted with one of the most pleasant listening experiences I’ve had the privilege of enjoying. Aaron’s podcast is raw, which some may find difficult, but I think it makes the podcast more personable and relatable. Aaron has a great way of connecting his audience to his topics of discussion and masterfully encapsulates the thoughts and emotions associated with whatever spooky subject he’s covering; doing so in a very down to Earth and unassuming way. I rarely listen to any leisure type podcasts, preferring to listen to current events and more libertarian type political podcasts, but Aaron’s podcast is a must listen for a great break from reality and a deep post jump scare breath. The only complaint I have had is how some of his guests may be a little too vain or self centered for my tastes, shifting the focus of discussion to or associating themes with their own lives or sexuality rather than focusing on the subject matter, but that has nothing to do with Aaron and I feel that as a host he does an excellent job of allowing his guests to speak openly but redirects the conversation excellently to not isolate his audience. Overall, I’d rate Aaron as a podcast host a 10/10 and the FEARquency podcast a MUST LISTEN.
