Ossia: A Podcast from One Voice Chorus Charlotte

While our chorus has not been able to meet in person to sing during the pandemic, we created this podcast instead. Join Artistic Director Cory Davis and a rotating set of OVC singers as together they have entertaining and enlightening conversations about community, choral singing, LGBT issues, and more. We'll pair our stories with relevant music recordings from our archives or recently created "virtual choir" songs.

    Claudette, Jordan, and Jenny (Chris and Gabe)

    Jenny, Jordan, and Claudette have all been highly involved in our local PFLAG chapter here in Charlotte. Claudette has been on a journey of raising several children who are part of the LGBTQ community, while Jordan and Jenny are both teachers who’ve become the de facto queer representatives at their school. Our mission is that, through artistic excellence, we will work to increase understanding and acceptance of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual people. Join me, Cory Davis, the artistic director, and a rotating set of One Voice, singers as we have entertaining and enlightening conversations about community, choral singing, LGBTQ issues, and more. Acting as a sort of “choral sommelier,” we'll pair our stories with relevant music recordings from our archives or recently created "virtual choir" songs--with everyone recording their own part individually, and editing them together after the fact.
