    Winter Break Announcement

    Well, that was a hell of a year, wasn't it? Thank you to all you beautiful weirdos who downloaded and streamed the show. We're gonna disappear for a bit to get some rest, collect our sanity, and start working on ideas for next year. The good news is, thanks to the miracle of modern technology, you don't have to do anything.     We finally did it! We got into the same room together and we brought the incredible host of Wine and Weed, Chris Reinacher! This week the Cable Boys dive into the depths of the inexplicably titled 90's coming of age drama, My Girl. Seriously, why the hell is it called My Girl? Whatever. We talk about everything from Chris's family history, to if Justin would let his kids watch the movie, to Kevin's weird amount of hostility toward Thomas J., to Post's lack of a heart. This one might go down in textbooks as the defining discussion of My Girl... Or maybe not. Either way, it's fun as hell and you're gonna have a great time.     Join Kevin and Post this week as they unveil next week's movie, discuss the best on-screen kiss of 1991, and how the movie affected the heavy metal scene of the time. While that might seem a little scattered, apparently Post had no idea what movie we were intro-ing today so I'd say that we stayed pretty focused considering.     Crash (w/ Justine Smith)

    Oh boy... This one is tough to explain. Honestly, I've tried to write this description like 20 times and I'm coming up with nothing so here's how IMDB describes this little adventure: After getting into a serious car accident, a TV director discovers an underground sub-culture of scarred, omnisexual car-crash victims who use car accidents and the raw sexual energy they produce to try to rejuvenate his sex life with his wife. We're joined by Film Critic and Programmer Justine Smith to discuss what makes this bizarre 100 minutes of film special... or haunting... or traumatizing... or maybe all of the above. We also chat about Post's ill-fated dating decisions, NFTs, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's "chronic black face" problem. Its a romp As crazy as it sounds, this is probably our best episode yet so if you like it please rate us 5 stars and subscribe to the podcast feed.     What a truly wild story about a deranged kidnapping plot that has absolutely no basis in reality... right? Totally fictional? Find out this week when we discuss the under-the-radar Australian "gem" Fortress.
