    As the Canucks weight their options at the draft, Matt and Blake wonder if there's room, or the need, for the rookies to play this season. Both Cootes and the 3rd overall pick will get consideration but the guys debate whether a player's college commitment, or AHL play, is more important. The boys talk about the juxtoposition of the Manny Malhotra's hiring vs the Oilers' pursuit of Mike Babcock. TSN's Frank Corrado stops by with some personal stories of playing for Babcock's Leafs teams and how it affected his career. Frank talks about the differences between the "coach" and the "person", and why the Oilers would even consider going down this road.     The draft day debates rage on as Matt and Blake widdle down on what the fanbase and the team are really hoping for in late June. The guys look at the recent video from the Canucks and what clues they may have revealed. Plus, with Dylan Larkin's trade request official, is there a way that EP40 gets involved in a possible summer of trades. Cam Robinson of Elite Prospects joins the show with his experiences from the NHL combine and how that's affected his view of what happens on draft day. Cam shares his movers and shakers in the draft rankings, which teams may be using smokescreens to throw people off the scent, and which players impressed the most. Cam gets into the reappearance of keaton Verhoeff as a top pick option and Mathis Preston's speed and skill maybe giving him a late bump.     June 8, 2026: The Canucks' draft dilemma; World Cup Countdown!

    World Cup week begins and the NHL draft gets another week closer, so Matt and Blake have a massive Monday show! The guys look at the ever changing draft boards from around the league and debate where the Canucks will go with the first few picks of their draft class. The ever present conversation of " best player available" vs "draft for position" remains in a year when the depth of the first tier of players is as big as it is and the guys get into which direction they would lean. The Daily Faceoff's Steven Ellis joins the guys to summarize his stay at the NHL draft combine and what stood out to him amongst the top prospects there. Steven answers whether there is any chiseling away at Mckenna's top spot and the large group of players that are vying to be number 2. The guys look at the myriad of choices for the Canucks with both of their 1st round picks, including some new possibilities for centres at the 24th pick. Steven also weighs in on the re-appearance of Verhoeff near the top of peoples' lists and the fit for the Canucks to grab both Ruck twins. Tosaint Ricketts of the Whitecaps and TSN drops by to discuss the pride he's feeling right now and the last minute roster dilemmas for Jesse March ahead of the World Cup.
