    Andrew Henderson

    Well what do you know, the host of the Fraserburgh Cricket Club Chronicles, Andrew Henderson, is in the hotseat himself this time as the tables are turned and he shares his own story of getting into cricket at the Broch! Friend of the podcast Paul O'Neill steps in to ask the questions, and he has full control of where the conversation goes, what questions are asked and what gets covered on this episode. This is the last interview episode of season two, but that's a good thing as it means the 2022 season is fast approaching! We're around a month away from the start of the competitive season at Fraserburgh, and we'll be back soon with a season preview episode, so keep an eye out for that.     Richard Packer

    It's episode four, season two of the Fraserburgh Cricket Club Chronicles and in the hotseat this time is Richard Packer! We cover a lot of ground here but it's well worth listening to, as Richard goes into his time playing disability cricket down south, being in the army and finding his way up to the north east of Scotland with the Broch!     Cory Bowie

    Cory Bowie is a name that has been synonymous with Fraserburgh Cricket Club for more than 20 years, so it was about time we got him on the podcast! Here we go through his entire career, from starting out in cricket, leaving the Broch and coming back, on to continuing to make improvements to his game in the last year or two.     Mark Witt

    Season two, episode two of the Fraserburgh Cricket Club Chronicles sees us chatting to Mark Witt! Mark was a regular for the club over a number of years before leaving just as the pandemic hit to join Methlick. There were a few different things that led to him leaving on good terms, which you can hear all about in this episode - as well as his first memories of cricket, how a health scare led him to trying out the sport for himself and his first encounter with a Fraserburgh player. The Broch are running indoor training throughout the month of March for both the first team and, for the first time, girls and women-only sessions!     Stuart Flowerdew

    Welcome back to the Fraserburgh Cricket Club Chronicles for season two! After a slightly longer break than intended we have five more interviews all set for your listening pleasure, starting with the one and only Stuart Flowerdew! Stuart has been named the funniest cricketer at the club by several of the people interviewed in season one, but here he talks about his early steps into the sport, being a cup final winning captain with Fraserburgh, what the future holds for him and more! One thing to note is that all the interviews for season two took place in 2021, so if we talk about "this year" or "this season", we're talking about 2021 and not 2022, but hopefully that doesn't put you off!     2021 Season Update 2

    That's it! The curtain has come down on another season for Fraserburgh's cricketers, and we're back to talk you through everything that went on in the second half of the year. There was a lot to get through with eight Grade Two matches and two Bon Accord Cup fixtures to squeeze into the last couple of months, but thankfully one of our two Players of the Year joins the podcast to talk us through it. This episode gives us wins and defeats, milestone moments and injuries to look forward to as well as some reflection on just what exactly has made it such an enjoyable year, what the club should be looking to do in 2022 and why the future is so exciting down at Kessock Park.     2021 Season Update 1

    We are well and truly into the meat of the 2021 cricket season now, so it was about time we returned with an episode to update everyone on how things have been going for Fraserburgh over the opening stretch of the campaign. Really, we've had it all. Postponements, sweltering heat, plenty of runs, wickets and even the odd collapse - would it really be Fraserburgh if there wasn't at least one? Andrew is joined by club captain Liam Bowie to look back over the first few matches, as well as discussing some of the stand out players in 2021 so far (you might just hear from one or two of them), Liam's own form, and what the club's goals are for the rest of the year.     Ian McCallum (+ an announcement)

    You've heard his name mentioned by nearly everybody that's been on the Fraserburgh Cricket Club Chronicles so far, so it's only right we had Ian McCallum on for an episode. Ian was 12th man in the 1973 Aberdeenshire Cup triumph, before going on to play a part in the 1976 Bon Accord Cup win and the 2005 Reid Cup victory, also playing an important role behind the scenes not just as Fraserburgh's secretary and treasurer, but also sitting on the North East Scotland Cricket disciplinary panel. With the Broch's season starting this weekend, there is also an announcement on the future of the Fraserburgh Cricket Club chronicles at the end of this episode, so stay tuned until the very end to hear what lies in store for the podcast.
