Amateurish everywhere. The host is just not cut out for this. Even when he reads the books and does the research, he still manages to sound like a kid who only read one chapter and has to deliver a book report as if he read it all.
Stammering, repeating the same sentences sometimes dozens of times in a small period of time, extremely poor quote choices that are usually just mundane everyday sentences rather than being significant to the events, tons of ums, and uh uh uhs and other filler words.
He also just never seems to have a good grasp on the history. I was awe-struck at the number of factual errors in even his 9/11 episode. He was utterly amazed at his co-host knowing basic details that most Americans know inside and out. He absolutely should be listening to other peoples history podcasts, that is what he is qualified for. If he wasn’t lying about his bachelors in history, that college should be audited
