The Women in Vinyl Podcast enhances and expands what our mission aims to do: facilitate conversations from the vinyl record industry to educate, demystify, and diversify the vinyl community. Robyn Raymond - Red Spade Records owner, currently the sole woman lathe cutter in Canada, and Women in Vinyl executive board member and contributor. The Women in Vinyl Podcast co-hosts, founder Jenn D’Eugenio and contributor Robyn Raymond, share interviews with record labels, pressing plants, cutting engineers, record stores and more to give a look behind the scenes with those working in the vinyl record industry. Including tech talk discussions, to the questions about vinyl you may not know but are too afraid to ask, and everything in-between. Known for his work with phenakistoscopes—one of the earliest forms of animation—Drew has adapted this pre-cinema technique for modern tools like record players and camera phones, blending psychedelic turntablism with traditional animation to create a unique, analog vision of the future. Drew’s work has earned him collaborations with major artists like John Lennon, the Rolling Stones, Olivia Rodrigo, and Dua Lipa.
