Mother Nature Will Kill You

I really like this podcast. The subject matter is fascinating. I love hearing and reading about natural disasters and survival stories. The hosts are funny and mix well together. It’s more of a relaxed feel like you are a part of a group listening to your friend retell a story. I like how the woman who isn’t telling the story asks questions and gives light commentary. Often times it’s questions I would’ve asked if someone was telling me the same story. I like to hear her initial thoughts hearing the story for the first time too. There is some talking and catching up in the beginning of each episode which is pretty on par for most podcasts, especially in this format but I know some people don’t care for that so just a warning. You can always skip ahead if you’re the type who wants to get right to the story. They usually have pretty interesting intros though. I like the opening song too. Just a heads up. There was something going on with the audio in the first few episodes with some type of feedback.. like a record scratching but worse/louder. I think it was resolved though because I’m not hearing it so far after the first couple episodes and it only happened when the hosts were a bit louder like when they were laughing. Wasn’t enough to make me stop listening. So I’d skip ahead a few episodes if that bothers you. Give this one a try, especially if you like survival stories! I haven’t found another podcast that specifically covers survival and natural disaster stories.

Ladies, I don’t care one iota about your personal lives. I don’t care about your friends wedding, I don’t care about your travel, I don’t care what you did over the weekend. Why can’t you catch up with each other prior to hitting record. One episode their personal banter was nearly 20 minutes. The latest episode it was over 10 minutes. I’ve listened to several episodes, I really want to like this podcast but I am so off put with the hosts that I’m hitting unsubscribe.
