[EP014] 陳柔縉《一個木匠和他的台灣博覽會》
我還記得，快10年前，曾經有個前輩，推薦我陳柔縉所採訪撰寫的《宮前町90番地》，故事主角也是口述的作者張超英，他在日本時代，也就是日治時代的一位上流人士，透過陳柔縉採訪筆述，透過張超英的人生，看見台灣當時的政治和商業環境。
當時在看到陳柔縉離開的消息的同時，我正準備採訪一位大學教授，他曾經因為一場研討會，而發現台灣曾經有段非常豐富的釀酒文化，特別在花蓮的一塊田裡，有一位日本人「青木繁」所留下來的重要歷史資料，在陳柔縉所紀錄的《一個木匠和他的台灣博覽會》中也提到青木繁這個人，串起我想要追尋下去的線索⋯⋯。
第一季的The Reader's Caitlog節目，將會在兩集Call-out系列節目後暫時結束。希望未來不久，在第二季節目中，為你介紹更多好書。

在第四集邀請過的Susan，介紹這部穿越歷史懸疑系列小說——「異鄉人」（Outlander），作者是來自美國的Diana
Gabaldon，她曾是大學教授與科學家，兒子也是一名穿越小說作家。
Outlander今年11月將有最新一集系列作品，到時候就會有四本作品。這部系列小說集結了20世紀美國二戰、17世紀的英國與蘇格蘭之間的「卡洛登Culloden戰役」。Susan將仔細分析這部穿越小說的歷史資料、科學背景、醫療元素。我們在閱讀所謂的經典文學的時候，除了感受不同時期的寫作風格，可以提醒自己留意哪些關鍵事件。
