If AI Can Do Your Job, Then What Are You There For?

If artificial intelligence can do more and more of your work, what is your distinctive value as a human leader? AI is transforming the workplace, from analysing information and writing reports to planning, monitoring performance and supporting decisions. But as technology becomes increasingly capable, it's raising a fundamental question about the future of leadership. What do organisations actually need human leaders for? In this episode of Coaching Corner, Tracy Forsyth explores how AI is changing the nature of leadership and why the most valuable leadership capabilities may be the ones that have always mattered. Tracy identifies three essential human leadership skills for an AI enabled workplace: 1. Judgment and Wisdom Understanding the bigger picture, navigating ambiguity, making difficult choices and knowing what should be done, not just what can be done. 2. Influence and Persuasion Building relationships, understanding different perspectives, overcoming resistance and bringing people together around a shared purpose. 3. Personal Impact and Presence Communicating with confidence, reading the room, challenging assumptions and engaging people in meaningful conversations. Tracy also shares three practical exercises to help you develop your leadership value in the age of AI: Audit how you spend your time and identify tasks you could automate, delegate or stop doing. Ask three colleagues when you add the most value as a leader and what you could do more of. Deliberately practise one human leadership skill, whether that's having a difficult conversation, asking a better question or explaining the why behind a decision. Because the real opportunity AI presents isn't simply greater productivity. It's the opportunity to free up time and energy to become better human leaders. And Tracy leaves you with one thought provoking coaching question: If AI took away half your management responsibilities tomorrow, how would you use that time to become twice the leader? #FastTrackToFearless #TracyForsyth #BeFearlesslyYou #CoachingCorner #AILeadership #HumanLeadership #FutureOfWork #LeadershipDevelopment #FutureOfLeadership #ArtificialIntelligence #LeadershipSkills #ExecutiveLeadership #AIAtWork

    How to Present with Impact

When you speak, do people listen? Or does your message get lost in too much information, too much background and too many details? You might know your subject inside out, but knowledge alone doesn't guarantee that your audience will understand, remember or act on what you're saying. In this episode of Coaching Corner, Tracy Forsyth explores why even the most knowledgeable professionals can struggle to communicate with impact, and how simplifying your message can make you a more effective presenter and communicator. Tracy introduces Barbara Minto's Pyramid Principle, a practical approach to structuring presentations, pitches and workplace communication so your most important message comes first. In this episode, you'll discover: Why sharing everything you know can actually weaken your message. How to capture attention by starting with your key point. Why three strong supporting arguments are often more effective than overwhelming your audience with information. How to choose the evidence and examples your audience genuinely needs. Why clarity is not just a presentation skill, but an essential leadership skill. Whether you're preparing for a business presentation, pitching an idea, speaking in a meeting or communicating with senior stakeholders, this episode offers practical advice to help you make your message land. Presenting with impact isn't about proving how much you know. It's about understanding what your audience needs to know and communicating it clearly. And Tracy's final piece of advice? The Consequences of Self Doubt Go Beyond You

We often think of self doubt as something personal. Maybe you don't put yourself forward for an opportunity. You don't get the promotion. You hold yourself back or don't fulfil your potential. But what happens when the consequences of your self doubt affect other people too? In this episode of Coaching Corner, Tracy Forsyth explores the wider cost of self doubt at work, particularly for those in positions of leadership and responsibility. What happens when you spot something others haven't? When you have a different perspective? When a difficult conversation needs to happen? When you have an idea that could make a difference? And then self doubt stops you from speaking up. Tracy challenges the idea that confidence at work means swagger, being the loudest person in the room or believing you're always right. Instead, confidence is about trusting yourself enough to contribute what you have to contribute. Sometimes you'll speak up and be wrong. Sometimes your idea won't be chosen. Sometimes you'll challenge something and nothing will change. But that's very different from never finding out because self doubt made the decision for you. This episode leaves you with two important questions: Where might your self doubt be costing more than you think? And what challenge, decision, idea, conversation or contribution are you holding back that someone else might actually need from you? #FastTrackToFearless #TracyForsyth #BeFearlesslyYou #CoachingCorner #SelfDoubt #CareerConfidence #ConfidenceAtWork #Leadership #LeadershipConfidence #SpeakUp #FindingYourVoice #CareerDevelopment #LeadershipDevelopment

Change is Hard When You Didn't Choose It

What happens when change isn't your decision? Whether you're facing redundancy, organisational restructuring, a new boss, a change of role or an unexpected shift at work, unwanted change can leave you feeling uncertain, frustrated and powerless. In this episode of Coaching Corner, Tracy Forsyth explores why change feels so different when it's imposed on us, and shares three practical ways to regain clarity, control and momentum. In this episode, you'll discover: Why uncertainty, loss of control and perceived loss can make change so difficult. Why you don't need to rush into being positive when something unexpected happens. How naming your emotions can help you decide what to do next. How to distinguish between what you can control, what you can influence and what you need to let go of. Why taking one small action can help you regain momentum when you're feeling stuck. As technology, organisational structures and workplace expectations continue to evolve, learning how to navigate change is becoming an increasingly important career skill. But managing change doesn't mean pretending you love what's happening. It means acknowledging how you feel, focusing your energy where it matters and finding your next move. You don't need to have the whole future figured out. You just need your next step. #FastTrackToFearless #TracyForsyth #BeFearlesslyYou #CoachingCorner #ChangeManagement #CareerResilience #WorkplaceChange #CareerDevelopment #FutureOfWork #NavigatingChange #CareerTransition
