Philippians - How to Be Humble Like Jesus

What's the remedy for people who are obsessed with their own goals and glory? This week, Pastor Connor addresses that question as he continues our sermon series in Philippians. Paul urges his readers to consider the example of Jesus, who gave up His rights and willingly suffered for others. Because of His humble obedience, God exalted Jesus above all things in heaven and on earth. We become humble by looking at our Savior and seeking to follow in His steps, emptying ourselves and enduring challenges for the sake of others. This week, our hosts continue their discussion on our Philippians series, some of the talking points were, where we've seen God advancing His kingdom, the difficulties bible translations face when it comes to the word humility, and going more in depth on Philippians 2:6-11. Oh and tune into the beginning, grab your tissue box because this will be TBCs last pre sermon extra extra, listen in to hear Jason and Teresa walk down memory lane. Philippians - Will My Life Honor Christ?

How can we make the choice to pursue joy in the face of great hardships? This week, Pastor Connor considers that question as we continue our series in Philippians. In Christ, we have the resources to choose joy and embrace the struggle in His strength, for His glory. As we walk through our lives, we find that the biggest struggle is often the best opportunity to grow and to glorify God. Our impact in showing Christ to the world around us depends on the context of our trials, how we conduct ourselves, and how we allow ourselves to change, becoming more like our Lord. Whether we live or die, our aim should always be to rejoice in Christ and trust Him. This week, our hosts continue their discussion on our Philippians series, some of the talking points were, what Paul was talking about in Philippians 1:15-18, evangelists who reached thousands but had scandals come to light, and if the early church christians that Paul was writing to knew about his past. From Garden to City - Paradise

This world can be full of pain, heartache, and brokenness. But there’s good news: God’s rescue plan isn’t done yet. This week, Pastor Jason concludes our series, From Garden to City, with a discussion of how Jesus will finish redeeming all things by creating a new Heaven and new earth, where we will join Him. Our bodies and our world will be completely healed, and Christ Himself will wipe away every tear from our eyes. In the new Jerusalem, almighty God will dwell among us. Since we have this hope of eternal glory in Jesus, we can live free of fear. Not even death can separate us from our Savior. Our response should be one of joy and celebration! Jesus has already won the ultimate victory, and He will finish the rescue plan that He started. All who believe in Him will join Him, but those who do not believe will be separated from Him. He is coming soon, so today is the day of salvation! This week, our hosts have their final discussion on the series, from garden to city, some of the talking points were, if it's ok to fear death, Pauls letters to the Philippians, and the slide that was shown but not talked about in the first service. Oh and tune into the beginning to hear our hosts talk about where they would travel to if money wasn't a problem. From Garden to City - The People

When we come to faith in Christ, we become part of God’s family, but what does that mean? What rights and responsibilities do we have as children of God? This week, Pastor Connor continues our series, From Garden to City, focusing on the idea that God has called us to join His plan to rescue the world from sin and death. Believers in Jesus have a new identity as children of the King, a new mission to spread the Kingdom, and a new family, as people who belong to the Kingdom. God calls each of us to be an ambassador for Christ, regardless of our skills or gifts. He equips us to be brave people who are waiting for future glory, and who reach out to invite others into that same glory. God wants to use you to reach your neighbors, coworkers, family, and friends with the good news of Jesus! This week, our hosts continue their discussion on the series, from garden to city, some of the talking points were, a deeper dive into Romans 8:16-17, how to move past the feeling of rejection when trying to evangelize, and how to leave a spiritual legacy for our families. Oh and tune into the beginning to hear our hosts talk about the oldest heirlooms they have in their house. From Garden to City - The Plan

This week, Pastor Jeremy continues our series, “From Garden to City,” with a look at the covenants God made with His people in the years between Adam and Christ. Like the covenant in Eden, the Mosaic covenant was one where God dwelt among humans and gave them land to rule and extend His rule. In both covenants, disobedience led to expulsion from the land and death. And just as Adam and Eve violated the covenant of Eden, the people of Israel violated the covenant of Moses. But God is faithful, and remains faithful even when we’re unfaithful. His good plan to deliver humanity could not be thwarted by our rebellion, and in Christ, He provided the ultimate atonement that the Mosaic covenant foreshadowed. This week, our hosts continue their discussion on the series, from garden to city, some of the talking points were, why we didn't just go from the fall straight to the solution which is Jesus, and deep dive on what the book of Galatians is talking about. Oh and tune into the beginning to hear our hosts talk about how the teaching for the children has been going on last weeks topic.
