Girl Out of Order Podcast

Christine Gale

Girl Out of Order is not just a podcast—it’s a call to action for the woman who's done shrinking, contorting, and apologizing for who she is. Hosted by Christine Gale, attorney, speaker, identity coach, and unapologetic girl-mom, this show is your go-to space for fierce conversations, gut-level honesty, and radical permission to reclaim the woman you were always meant to be. Girl Out of Order challenges the belief that women must play small to belong. No topic off-limits and no mask required. Through solo episodes, powerhouse guest interviews, and Christine’s signature blend of humor, truth-telling, and challenge, you’ll be inspired to drop your sword, stop the self-abandonment, and rise in your worth. Because fitting in is overrated—and being out of order might be exactly what sets you free. If you’ve ever felt like too much and never enough at the same time, pull up a seat. This is your home.

Ep. #144 - You’re Not Broken, You’re Becoming. How to Break the Anxiety Cycle with Robyn Graham

You're not broken, you're becoming. Robyn Graham Anxiety is a liar. It's also not a personality flaw. Robyn Graham says it's biological, and once you understand that, everything changes. That's what Girl Out of Order is about, no longer contorting yourself into a mold you were never destined for. Robyn grew up in a loving but anxious home in Southern Illinois, and she spent years trying to be who the world said she should be. Perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the need to control every situation became her armor. What she eventually learned is that those anxiety-driven behaviors are your nervous system trying to keep you safe, and that you can retrain it. When her own children began struggling with anxiety, she decided the cycle would stop with her. She became a doctor of pharmacy and an anxiety expert, and she wrote the book You, and Anxiety: Take Action Over Anxiety to Enjoy Being You. And she's the first to say she's still a work in progress. We also get into: Why "just snap out of it" never works, and what's really happening in your brain and body when anxiety takes overThe switch between your fear center and your "brilliant center," and why gratitude can flip it in a momentWhy "I am anxious" becomes an identity, and the simple first steps (a pen, a piece of paper, and a walk around the block) that start rewiring itIf you've ever believed something was wrong with you, this one's for you. Ep. #143 - My Math Was Wrong: Erika Coleman on When All In and Giving Your Best Are Not the Same Thing

I didn't do bad things. I did too many good things.  Erika Coleman The first time Erika and I got on a discovery call, I knew within five minutes this was a hell yes. Not just because we practically have the same bookshelves (we do), but because she said something I hadn't heard put into words before.  You can burn out doing everything right. That's what Girl Out of Order is about, figuring out that "right" and "sustainable" aren't always the same thing. Erika built a business teaching companies how to go virtual, grew it 345% in five months, and was still hired at the top of her game, right as her mom was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. For 14 months she gave everything, doctor's appointments, a flash mob of joy, a "happy pill" full of love notes, a family talent show. She thought giving her all was the only way to give her best. Then her mom passed away, her business closed two months later, and Erika found out the hard way that all in and giving your best are not the same thing. We also get into: The research on why even good virtues become harmful past a certain pointHow to keep your drive without robbing tomorrow's version of youThe two questions to ask yourself to check your pace and your presence before you burn outIf you've ever confused giving everything with giving your best, this one's for you. Ep. #141 - The Whole Woman Summit with Founder Julee Brooke

What if your life on the inside could feel as good as your life on the outside?  Julee Brooke Have you ever caught yourself wondering when you disappeared? Not in one big moment, but slowly, over years of putting everyone else first. This week on Girl Out of Order, we sit down with Julee Brooke, a former lawyer turned real estate top-producer turned transformational guide, who has spent decades helping women reconnect with themselves after years of "chameleoning" to other people's needs. Julee's own path took her from law school in DC to educational design in Hawaii, twelve years in Santa Fe real estate, and eventually to the Netherlands, where she's lived for the past eleven years. Along the way, she kept noticing the same pattern, in herself and in the women around her: sixty-hour work weeks, taking on a partner's interests instead of their own, forgetting to actually live the life they were building. That pattern is what led her to create The Whole Woman Summit, a free virtual event on Sunday, September 20th, bringing together many power-packed, diverse speakers (myself included) to help attendees feel, in Julee's words, "alive in all aspects of their life."  Grab your free ticket to the Whole Woman Summit here: https://thewholewomansummit.com/optin-9542?am_id=christine6892  Go VIP and you'll unlock extra speaker freebies, including a free coaching session with me! Ep. #140 - Fighting for Your Voice When You're Losing It

"Even when your voice shakes, sis, speak up!" My voice started changing in December. I kept brushed it off: a cold, aging, poor sleep. After a friend pointed it out, I started to pay attention. A visit to my doctor for hormonal support turned into a throat exam, then a thyroid ultrasound that flagged "mildly suspicious" nodules — later downgraded to "boring" by a specialist. That scare pushed me to an ENT, where a scope revealed the real issue: vocal cord nodules.  The fix isn't surgery. It's speech therapy — learning to slow down, breathe with intention, and speak differently, a real challenge for someone who moves through life fast by default. Well, I'm now in the middle of treatment, which is why the podcast went quiet and why this episode is a solo return before a run of previously recorded guest interviews. Here's what I want you to know... The literal voice mirrors the authentic voice. Silencing starts external, then becomes internal. We become our own censor. This matters for the next generation. Speak up even when your voice shakes, advocate for yourself, and refuse to outsource your own knowing to someone else's confidence.Join the Girl Out of Order Facebook Tribe! https://www.facebook.com/groups/girloutoforder Let's Connect! https://www.thechristinegale.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/christine-d-gale-esq-0b899b204/ https://www.facebook.com/christine.salsberrygale/ https://www.instagram.com/thechristinegale/

Ep. #139 - Building a Couple Identity- Love, Faith & the Power of Polarity with John & Annie Meng

"If you don't have any storms in your relationship, find some. Because if we did not have the obstacles we had, we would not have this relationship."                         John and Annie Meng What does it look like to build an identity as a couple — not just as two individuals sharing a life? In this rich, raw, and deeply personal conversation, Christine sits down with John and Annie Meng, founders of Love Jaam, to explore what it truly takes to create a shared identity in a relationship — and why the hardest seasons are often the ones that make you. Annie — Wharton graduate, former Miss Arizona, Wall Street finance veteran, and expecting mama — opens up about what it meant to be disowned by her family for choosing love. Death threats. Wedding day absences. And ultimately, the slow, intentional work of reconciliation that changed her from the inside out. John, a serial entrepreneur, business exit advisor, and relationship coach, shares how watching the woman he loved walk toward a potentially dangerous confrontation with her father — while he sat quietly in the car — became one of the most spiritually defining moments of his life. Together, they unpack: ✦ Why opposites don't just attract — they complete ✦ How to use the DISC profile to understand your couple dynamic ✦ What Tony Robbins' four seasons of relationship reveal about where you are right now ✦ The moment John realized love — not ego — had to lead ✦ Why Annie's estrangement from her family became the catalyst for her greatest personal growth ✦ The "Three C's" of lasting love: Chemistry, Commitment, and Compassion ✦ How to create a couples vision — the one exercise Christine is writing down mid-conversation This episode is for the woman who wants a great relationship but sometimes wonders if what she sees in other couples is even attainable. Spoiler: it is. And behind every great couple is usually a powerful, hard-won story. Ep. #138 - The Room That Reminds You Who You Are: How the Right Women Help You Stop Shrinking and Start Expanding

“Who you surround yourself with will often dictate the altitude you achieve.” What happens when you finally find the room that calls you back to yourself? In this episode, I share a raw, heartfelt recap of the spring retreat with the True Legacy Collective — and why the tribe you choose can either cage you or completely transform you. This isn't about FOMO. It's about possibility. We break down what it really means to belong — not fitting in, but being fully seen, fully held — and why your identity expands fastest when you're in the right room with the right women. In this episode: What a mastermind really is (and why most people misunderstand it)The difference between fitting in and true belongingWhy your dreams need witnesses, not just your journalHow the women around you set the altitude of your life5 things the right tribe will always do for youIf this episode reminded you of a woman who needs a better room, a braver tribe, or a reminder of who she really is, send it to her.
