    Why do you (not) wear the cross?

    Send us a text Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are often asked why there are no crosses on our churches or why our members don't seem to wear them. Although there is no official reason for this, it has caused many members to speculate as to why that is. The talk by Jeffrey R. Holland, Lifted Up Upon the Cross, given at the October 2022 general conference is our main reference. But we also challenge all those who do wear the cross to reflect on why they wear it and what it means to them.
