    Who I've Become

What happens when you look back at who you used to be…and realize you barely recognize her? In this deeply reflective episode of Boldly Becoming, Kennyetta opens journals spanning more than two decades and discovers something she wasn't expecting. She thought she was reading her story. Instead, she was reading the faithfulness of God. Through handwritten prayers, old dreams, heartbreak, unanswered questions, tear-stained pages, and seasons she once wondered if she would survive, Kennyetta comes face-to-face with younger versions of herself—and realizes just how quietly God has been transforming her all along. Because growth isn't always loud. Sometimes you don't realize you've healed until something that once shattered you no longer holds the same power. Sometimes you don't recognize your growth until you respond differently. And sometimes you don't realize who you've become until you look back at who you used to be. This episode explores identity, rejection, rest, confidence, fear, obedience, and the difference between fighting to become “enough” and finally believing what God has already said about you. And through the story of Joshua, Kennyetta asks a bigger question: What have you surrendered that God never asked you to give away? Your peace? Your joy? Your confidence? Your voice? Your hope? Your dreams? Maybe becoming isn't about creating an entirely new version of yourself. Maybe it's about becoming comfortable with the person God knew you were all along. This isn't an episode about celebrating how much we've changed. It's about celebrating the God who never did. Pull out an old journal. Find an old photograph. Sit with a memory you haven't visited in years and ask yourself: Where were God's fingerprints that I couldn't see at the time? Because the story was never just about who you were. It has always been about who God has been.

    The Relationships That Built Me

Who helped build the person you are today? Some people become roots. Some become branches. Some are only with us for a season. And some relationships arrive like storms—changing us in ways we may not understand until years later. In this bonus episode of Boldly Becoming, Kennyetta uses the image of a growing tree to reflect on the relationships that shape our lives: family, friendships, mentors, teachers, heartbreaks, losses, and even the unexpected people whose kindness leaves a permanent mark. Because every relationship leaves a deposit. Some leave confidence. Some leave wisdom. Some leave laughter, courage, faith, or compassion. Others teach us boundaries, self-respect, forgiveness, and how to keep growing after disappointment. And sometimes, the relationships that changed us the most don't last forever. This episode is an invitation to look back with gratitude—not pretending every relationship was good or every ending was easy, but recognizing what God was able to grow through each season. You'll also be challenged to consider the other side of the story: Who helped build your tree? And just as importantly… Whose tree is stronger because you were part of their story? Before you move on with your week, give someone their flowers. Send the text. Make the call. Write the letter. Tell the people who helped shape you that their presence mattered. Then ask God one simple question: “Lord, whose tree are You inviting me to help grow?” Stay rooted. Keep growing. And remember—the most beautiful trees aren't the ones that never endured a storm. They're the ones whose roots learned to hold on through every season.

Maybe I was Enough All Along

What if the version of yourself you've been chasing isn't who God is calling you to become? What if the lesson was never about becoming more worthy, more accomplished, more confident, or more visible? What if you were enough all along? In the final episode of the July "Be Seen" series, Kennyetta reflects on a lifelong pursuit that many of us know all too well—the belief that we must become someone else before we deserve to be seen, loved, valued, or used by God. For years, she chased moving finish lines. More success. More achievement. More confidence. More proof that she was worthy. But through this season of visibility, God revealed a different truth: worth was never something to earn. It was something He had already declared. This episode is an invitation to stop striving and start embracing the person God intentionally created you to be. In this episode, we'll explore:• Why achievement can never satisfy a need for worthiness• The danger of constantly moving the finish line• What visibility really means• How God's love settles the question of value once and for all• The freedom that comes from embracing who God created you to be Boldarian Reflection:Who is the version of yourself you've been chasing? Now ask yourself this: What if God isn't asking you to become that person? What if He's asking you to embrace the person He's already created? Scripture for Reflection:"I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well." — Psalm 139:14 (NIV) Thank you for walking through the July "Be Seen" journey with me.
