Meet Dr. Mavis Mbi: We want to know how this MOM and full time Pharmacist, created and patented an amazing product.

Dr. Mavis Mbi established Baby Convenience after inventing the first ChangePal case. As a busy working professional mom, she found herself struggling with finding her baby’s changing items and needing the ultimate organizer to keep all of her baby essentials packed and ready to go in an easy fashion. With the granting of the first patent for ChangePal in 2012, she was inspired to set her team on a path of continual innovation. She has been blessed with three adorable children; all of whom continue to inspire her to create and innovate to help other moms and dads with their parenting journey by inspiring her team to continue to make brilliant travel bags that can save people time, money and energy while on-the-go. Dr. Mbi’s hope is that ChangePal helps everyone in their parenting journey, travel memories, errand trips and fun outings by taking the hassle out of looking for needed essentials and enjoy life’s precious moments instead. When she is not working at her full-time job or on her business, she spends time with her family catching up on their favorite family TV shows, movies and cooking fun recipes. Although raised in Columbia, Maryland, Mavis was born in Ghana, West Africa and immigrated to the United States with her family in her early years. She attributes her accomplishments to God’s grace, and inspiration from her parents who supported all her endeavors. Dr. Mbi also attributes her love for entrepreneurship to seeing her mom operate a family business with her aunt and grandmother while growing up in Ghana; showing her that women can be professionals, mothers and successful business owners all at the same time.
