Taylor Borton is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter, storyteller, and artist whose distinctive vocals and eclectic sound blend elements of Country, Americana, and singer-songwriter. Drawing from these genres, she has developed an authentic sound rooted in real-life experiences that inspire her songs. Her voice carries a traditional warmth, balanced with an edgy, contemporary tone. Influenced by artists such as John Prine, Loretta Lynn, Brandy Clark and Lori McKenna, she brings a classic songwriting approach into a modern context. Often described as an “old soul” with a youthful, charismatic spirit, her writing reflects a maturity well beyond her years.In 2019, she relocated from her hometown of Youngstown, Ohio to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a full time music career. She attended and graduated from The Blackbird Academy with a degree in audio engineering.Since moving to Nashville, Borton continues to build momentum by attracting attention from both industry professionals and fans. Her self-written and self-produced EP title track, “Lyrics In My Head,” delivers a relatable and uplifting message encouraging listeners to trust their intuition and let go of what they can't control. The project was followed by releases including “Glove Box Lighter,” “My Opry,” and “Lovin’ When It’s Leavin’.” A string of new music is set to launch in May 2026, beginning with her latest single “Between Youand Me.”Taylor plans to remain based in Nashville to further develop her songwriting and artist career. She has co-written with multiple #1 hit songwriters and received an Honorable Mention in American Songwriter for her song “Honky Tonk Hair,” co-written with Bill DiLuigi and Mary Zalla. Her music and story have been featured in publications including WKBN, WKRN, Today’s Country Magazine, Worlds of Country, Youngstown Business Journal, Bold Journey, Crazy Women of Country, Margie’s Country Classics Hour, Indie Country Radio, and many additional outlets.
