Tens of the thousands of people flock to Maitland’s Hunter Valley every year to experience the romance of train travel. This podcast tracks the history of the discovery of coal in Australia, to building the first railway line outside of Sydney, to the speed of the infamous steam locomotive the 3801 and the bone shaking reliability of the Red Rattlers.
