Lost Episode Rewind-Interview with Dr. Carolyn Brown, Founder of StrokeOT

Chime In, Send Us a Text or Voice Message! Background to this recoverd episode:  We launched our podcast during the pandemic and through now almost 100 episodes, several of our best episodes were 'lost' when the RSS feed didn't fully transfer with a hosting provider change. Until now! David has found the backups by restoring and old hard drive while completing his book. We'll be posting the other lost episodes between new releases so our tally is accurate at 100 when we sunset the pod (or do we?) Either way, listening back on this rewind it was fun to hear how far we've come in our post production, and it is a nice gesture to offer these missing episdes back to our library as we start to close out the show by bringing back guest interviews that were once lost.  Enjoy!  Chime in and let us know in the link at the top of this episode. Episode Guest: Dr. Carolyn Brown, Founder of StrokeOT.org Our Mission: StrokeOT, Inc. is a team of healthcare professionals and volunteers who provide free and low-cost virtual and in-person rehabilitation classes focused on health, exercise, and lifestyle education to support stroke recovery. We strengthen the stroke care continuum by addressing service gaps for underserved stroke survivors. By building a supportive community, we help improve the quality of life for individuals facing healthcare and financial disparities. Our Vision: We envision that stroke and brain injury survivors experiencing healthcare disparities will have life-long support after hospital discharge. These disparities include health insurance and financial inequalities as well as lack of transportation. About this podcast: Welcome to the Know Stroke Podcast of Co-Founders David Dansereau and Michael Garrow get you caught up on the latest stroke science, worldwide community support collaborations and interview top researchers and health care experts in the field.
