🎙️ Episode: KnowingWhat You Don’t Know  The Blind Spot WeAll Have Start with a provocative question: “What if the things holding us back in life are not thethings we know… but the things we don’t even know we don’t know?” You could introduce the idea of three levels of knowing: That third space is where our blind spots live. And this is particularly important for leaders because thehigher we move, the easier it can become for people to stop telling us whatwe don't want to hear. Tip #1 — Be Curious, Not Certain Self-awareness starts with recognizing: “I might be wrong.” We naturally seek information that confirms what we alreadybelieve. But growth requires us to become comfortable asking: Leadership tip: Replace “I know” with “Helpme understand.” That one sentence can completely change a conversation. Tip #2 — Invite Feedback, Especially the UncomfortableKind | 2 min One of the greatest challenges for leaders is that feedbackbecomes less honest as authority increases. People may tell the boss: “Everything is fine.” While thinking: “Actually… there are several things you don't see.” So don't just ask: “Do you have any feedback for me?” Ask better questions: And perhaps most importantly: Don't punish people for telling you the truth. If people get attacked every time they challenge you, eventually they'll stop challenging you. Tip #3 — Know Your Strengths AND Your Shadows | 2 min Self-awareness isn't just knowing your strengths. Sometimes our strengths become our weaknesses whenoverused. For example: A powerful reflection question is: “When does my strength become too much of a good thing?” This is a great leadership question because our blindspots often hide behind our strengths.

Reflection Questions 1. Revisit Your Goals Look back at the goals or commitments you set at the beginning of the year. Ask yourself: Which goals have I accomplished?Which goals are currently in progress?Which goals have I not started yet?Are these goals still meaningful and relevant today?Progress deserves recognition—even the small victories. Reflect: What achievements am I most proud of?What new skills or habits have I developed? What positive feedback or successes have encouraged me?What challenges have I successfully overcome?Remember: Small wins build confidence. Confidence builds momentum. Growth comes from learning, not just succeeding. Reflect: What obstacles slowed me down? What have I learned about myself? What should I continue doing? What should I stop or change? What support or resources do I need moving forward?Complete this sentence: "For the next six months, I will intentionally..." Spend a few quiet minutes writing your thoughts. Consider: What am I most grateful for this year? What has challenged me the most? What am I becoming? If I continue my current habits, where will I be by the end of the year? What kind of person do I want to become?Success is more meaningful when it is balanced. The Wheel of Life helps visualize where you're thriving and where you may need more attention. Rate your current satisfaction (1–10) in each area. After rating, connect the scores to create your personal "Wheel of Life." Which areas have improved since the beginning of the year? What contributed to these improvements?Which area gives me the greatest sense of fulfillment?Which areas received the lowest scores? Why did I rate them this way? What might happen if I continue neglecting these areas?🎉 2. Most habits continue not because they are good, but because they feel comfortable, familiar, or help us avoid discomfort in the short term. Real change begins when we clearly connect pain to staying the same and pleasure to taking new action. This means honestly recognizing what it will cost us if we do not change—such as lost confidence, missed opportunities, or future regret—while also creating a strong, positive picture of how life improves when we do change. When the pain of not changing becomes stronger than the fear of change, and the pleasure of growth, pride, and progress becomes more meaningful than short-term comfort, behavior naturally shifts. Even small actions taken consistently help rewire the mind to associate new behaviors with success and satisfaction, making change feel not only possible, but worthwhile."
