A Pipeline Artists original podcast about nothing and everything. Hosts Sadie Dean and Jeanne Veillette Bowerman share the truth, and nothing but the truth, about the challenges and benefits of living life as artists, striving for freedom to create in any medium, even ones you never thought of before. It's honest—no sugarcoating or selling hope. We tell it like it is, while always finding ways to make lemonade out of lemons. Think of us as Michael Bay, but with action items that don’t explode.

    Just Don't Suck

    Just Don't Suck

"What's the point of anything anymore?" ... that question launched a rambling convo between Sadie and Jeanne which culminated in many thoughts. Maybe too many thoughts.

    We aren't sorry.

Mario O. Moreno is Amazing ... And He Owes Us a Rap. (Not to be confused with a wrap.)

This is a true reunion of the Three Amigos, but instead of drinking margaritas, the convo is all about writing. The talented Mario O. Moreno branched out from screenwriting and adapted his script into a novella … that’s written as a rap! Trust us, you want to listen to this one.

    Oh, and there's a Sexy Clock™.

Watch for Sadie, Mario and Jeanne to rap in the near future. Tamborine donations welcome. Send them all to Mario.

Real Talk™ with Writer/Director Christopher Derrick

Where do we begin? How about with the raw truth, delivered by the one and only Christopher Derrick.

We dive into his experience breaking into TV writing, the bumps and bruises he got along the way, the challenges of A.I., and even the lessons learned by getting ripped off. Oh, yeah, it's a big, bad world out there in La La Land.

Most importantly, when we shed light on the struggles and realities of being a professional writer, maybe someone can be spared a tiny bit of pain. At least that's our hope. Grab your earbuds, and let's get at it!

Screenwriter Tom Vaughan: What's the Story You're Trying to Tell?

Screenwriter Tom Vaughan: What's the Story You're Trying to Tell?

Everyone says, "It's all about the story" ... but what even is story? Tom Vaughan dives deep into structure, and how having a clear process can not only help you get the words down, but it can also dig you out of the ditch when your story goes off the rails.

And, yes, Jeanne's plant is still alive.

Amanda Deibert: You Already Have the Answers ... That's a Yes

Amanda Deibert: You Already Have the Answers ... That's a Yes

Wow ... this one is definitely a favorite. Sadie and Jeanne make room on their therapy couch for the one and only Amanda Deibert—multi-hyphenate extraordinaire. Like, seriously, she does everything— author, screenwriter, and bestselling comic book and graphic novel writer.

    And she's also a must-follow on Twitter.

Big lesson: If you want to stretch yourself, learn to say yes, until you have to say no.

Listen and find out what we mean.

Easy Listening…

Love turning this on to zone out. Sade and Jeanne are excellent together. The topics are geared more toward writing, but most anyone in the arts would appreciate this one!

Writing Partners ep

Hey I really enjoyed this episode- very entertaining and thought provoking. My writing partner and I just wrote a script and I would have loved a little more direction on where to locate partner specific contracts/agreements with WGA. Maybe even a link😘
