Together we explore the issues and concerns that leaders go through – in their everyday lives and in their environment - and never get a chance to share. We often find ourselves venturing into territories they find hard to talk about.     Amit Jain, Co-Founder, Mitti Ke Rang

    Amit Jain, co-founder of Mitti Ke Rang, grew up in a small town, India. He lost his father early in life and saw his mother struggle to raise him and his siblings. That gave him the determination to give his mother an easier life. Leaving his full time, well-paid job at Bank of New York Mellon after seven years of working, he co-founded Mitt Ke Rang in 2014. Initially Mitti Ke Rang started as widows empowerment with a vision for all widows and single women to be accepted by family and to provide resources and support to build their own lives.  Mitti Ke Rang now successfully works in 9 states in India, with primary centres at Pune and Hadapsar, and spread around 10 countries across the world such as in Pakistan, Zambia, Gambia, Kenya, France, Spain, Fiji and Nepal. Two friends and senior coaches across oceans Anindita Das And Maureen Owen invite you to join us on a close and honest exploration of organisational life that brings a deeper perspective on leadership and important issues of the day. Shakespeare said in Henry IV - “uneasy lies the head that wears the crown”. And a much sung English nursery rhyme that goes The Grand Old Duke of York, he had 10,00 men. He marched them up to the top of the hill and marched them down again. And when they were up, they were up and when they were down they were down and when they were only halfway up they neither up nor down. What is it about leadership that promises so much power, prestige and the ability to have impact that often fills us with a sense of exuberance; and yet so often fails to live up to this potential? Its efforts falling into deep oblivion, never to be seen again. Where does leadership begin and where does it stop? How does one overcome the challenges leadership faces - from the outside, the inside and from the very nature of leadership itself? Leadership Stories is dedicated to leadership that leaders themselves never get to talk about - the ferocity, grit and determination it takes to claim authority, the pain and paradoxes in leadership, self-care amongst the chaos, toxic leadership and narcissism, and many more such issues. Join us in an exploration and understanding of leadership like never before. It is a topic we cannot ignore for natural and great leaders do not magically emerge.
