From Learning to Living | Masterclass with Jesus (Final Edition)

Eight weeks at the feet of Jesus. Now what? In the final edition of Masterclass with Jesus, Pastor Vincent brings the series home with one question: what do we do with everything we've learned? Jesus didn't come just to hand us information. He came to transform us, and that transformation is meant to flow through us to the people around us. Pastor Vincent walks through five big takeaways from the series: 1. Following Jesus changes how we think 2. Real transformation begins in the heart 3. Trusting Jesus means surrendering control 4. Spiritual growth requires daily obedience 5. A transformed life changes how we treat others Then he takes us to Matthew 5, where Jesus says "you are the salt of the earth" and "you are the light of the world." Salt only makes a difference on what it touches, and a light on a hilltop can't be hidden. So where have we been keeping the salt in the shaker? Where have we turned the dimmer down? With eight weeks left in 2026, Pastor Vincent invites all of us into a commitment: to spend the rest of this year being intentional about living like Jesus at home, at work, at school, and everywhere He has placed us. Scripture: Matthew 5:13-16, Colossians 3:12-14 This was the final message in our Masterclass with Jesus series. Catch every message from the series on our channel. Process, People, Power: Jesus on Humility | Master Class with Jesus

Humility has nothing to do with being timid. In the final week of our Master Class with Jesus series, Scott [Last Name] takes us into Matthew 20, where James and John, the "sons of thunder," send their mom to ask Jesus for the best seats in the kingdom. Jesus doesn't reject them or disqualify them. He invites them into something harder and better. Scott walks through three words God gave him for this message: Process, People, and Power. Promotion always comes after process. Real leadership is sacrifice for the benefit of others. And the power of God flows freely through people who don't need the credit. From David running for his life with a crown already on his future, to two blind men shouting louder when the crowd told them to be quiet, to ordinary fishermen standing boldly before the rulers of their day, this message is an invitation to stop spectating and step into the identity and purpose God has already placed in you. The only question left is: what do you want? 📖 Scriptures James 4:6 Matthew 20:20-34 Ephesians 4:11-12 Hebrews 12:29 Luke 4:18-19 Acts 4:7-13 🙌 Cross Church Denton is one family: multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-generational. Is Your Life Built to Stand? | Matthew 7 | Pastor Vincent

Is your life built to stand? In this week's message from our series Master Class with Jesus, Pastor Vincent takes us to the close of the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 7:24-27. Jesus describes two builders. Both heard His teaching. Both faced the same storm. Only one house stayed standing, and the difference was what each builder did with what he heard. Pastor Vincent gets honest about his own struggle with obedience this week and shows how trust and obedience work hand in hand. Following Jesus comes down to small daily choices, the everyday reps that prepare us for the big moments. Storms will come for every one of us. They show us what our foundation is made of, and the best day to check that foundation is a sunny one. So here's the question to sit with this week: What has Jesus been saying to you that you've heard but haven't acted on yet? Scripture: Matthew 7:24-27 | James 1:22 | James 1:2-4 ABOUT MASTER CLASS WITH JESUS This fall we're walking through Matthew 5 through 7, the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus' most famous message shows us what life in the Kingdom of God really looks like: a changed heart, a deeper trust, and a life built on Him. Would You Still Do It If Nobody Knew? | Master Class with Jesus

Would you still give, pray, and serve if nobody ever knew? In this week's Master Class with Jesus, Pastor Vincent walks us through Matthew 6, where Jesus gives a loving warning about the heart behind our spiritual habits. The word Jesus uses for "hypocrite" described an actor on a stage wearing a mask, and it raises an honest question for all of us: have we turned our faith into a performance? What we do matters. Why we do it and who we do it for matter too. Because the audience you seek shapes the reward you receive. Jesus invites us off the stage and into the inner room, the secret place where the Father is already waiting. That's where the real reward is found: relationship with Him. Whether anyone sees, claps, or says thank you, we get to live for an audience of One and for the only "well done" that lasts. 📖 Scripture: Matthew 6:1-6, 16-18 | Matthew 25:21 🍂 COMING UP THIS FALL Oct 17: Serve the City Fall Festival at 1610 Apartments. Are You Salt, Or Just Salty? | Master Class | Cross Church Denton

Relationships are easy right up until they are not. In week two of Master Class, guest speaker Scott walks through Matthew 5 and the ladder Jesus builds: don't kill them, don't stay angry with them, go repair it, then love them anyway. Along the way he unpacks what it means to be salt instead of just salty, why anger is almost always a secondary emotion sitting on top of hurt, fear, shame, or loss of control, and the hard truth that there is no such thing as unforgiveness. There is forgiveness and there is bitterness. Those are the two options. If there is one relationship in your life you know could be better, this one is for you. In this message: Salt of the earth and the difference between your spirit and your soul Why anger is not the real problem Forgiveness is a choice, not a feeling What reconciliation actually requires from both people Grace or justice: be careful which one you ask for Orphan or son and daughter, and why it changes everything Scripture: Matthew 5:13, 5:21-26, 5:43-45 NEW HERE?
