I only just learned about y’all in time to hear Turnabout Intruder, easily the cringiest ep of the three seasons. I’m looking forward to going back to the beginning and hearing all your reviews.
Regarding TMP, let me first say that I grew up with TOS from the beginning. I loved it, and I loved TAS (though why they didn’t use the original’s music is still a conundrum for me). By the time TMP arrived, I, am I think most of us Trekkies, were so starved for new voyages, we’d have loved a rehash of Turnabout. Fortunately, we got Nomad Part Deux.
You guys are not wrong. There were some particularly tedious parts to the movie, though I absolutely loved Takei’s “dear-in-headlights” reaction shot, which we might not have seen but for the tedium.
I’m looking forward to hearing your reactions to the next movies, especially TWOK, which felt more like a TOS episode, and was therefore arguably better, than any of the other movies so far, IMHO.
