    A bit over a month ago, if you'd be walking by Buddys Bar in Newtown on a Thursday night, you might have spied something raucous happening inside. It was the launch of Sydney artist RAGEFLOWER's debut EP Infinite Highs, End of Times. It was a sold out show, and that gives you a bit of an indication of the hype that's been swirling around Rageflower - otherwise known as Maddy Powers, who you might know from the band FVNERAL. Rageflower's debut EP is a knockout, full of vivid pop tracks that pull from country, rock, and other modern patron saints of pop like Phoebe Bridgers and MUNA.     Earlier this year, Chitra, a songwriter from Melbourne, released a single called Big Shot. A big, bruising indie rock pop track, it’s quickly become one of our most played songs of the year. And now, there’s plenty more where that came from. Chitra has just released her debut album, 'You Can See It When It’s Dark'. It’s a brilliant record, full of wonderfully drawn indie rock tracks.  Chitra, a sharp, deft songwriter, has a real ear for hooks, which comes to the fore on this album. She has been growing as an artist ever since we heard her breakthrough track, 'Big T*****s' in 2021. A proud Wiradjuri and Bundjalung woman with connections to the Wollombi people, Djanaba combines the traditional dance and song she was raised on with contemporary influences.  She has just released her debut album, 'Did I Stutter?' and it's an honest and personal guide to surviving in your 20s.
