    Discernment: Spiritual Warfare and God's Word (Part 4)

    In this episode we look at the importance of the use of God's word in testing the spirits or discernments received in our mind.  It is a spiritual war.  The enemy (Satan) seeks to deceive the world by taking God's word and slighting twisting it so that mankind does not find the power of putting faith in the purity of God's word.  We will look at the instructions God gives us establishing the word of God as being the foundation to this spiritual battle.  We also examine how the devil sought to deceive Jesus and the churches today.  Passages reviewed:  2 Corinthians 10:1-5;  Ephesians 6:10-18;  Acts 17:10-12;  Mathew 4:1-11;  2 Corinthians 11:1-4, 13-15;  Jude 1:3-4;  1 Timothy 1:3-7, 6:3-9.If you have any questions or would like to set up a conversation to discuss questions please email:  Warriors4ChristYT@gmail.com

    Discernment (Testimony): Warning against Presuming You have been Born Again (Part 3)

    In this part 3 episode on discernment, we will look at the the warning against presuming you have been born again when it actually hasn't happened.  Jesus speaks of this warning in Mathew chapter 7.  There are many who have had spiritual encounters and are convinced this is proof they have been born again.  But they don't understand that light is always working in darkness.  It is light that leads a person out of darkness, however, many presume when they see or feel light working in their life they automatically assume it is a proof of adoption as a son of God.  If you have any questions or would like to set up a conversation to discuss questions please email:  Warriors4ChristYT@gmail.comPassages covered:  Mathew 7:13-23;  Romans 12:1-2

    Discernment: Don't Presume Like Abraham (Part 2)

    Discernment: Listening to God's Voice (Part 1)

    In this first part of a series on discernment, we will look at some basic principles.  We know that God speaks to us through convictions by His Holy Spirit.  So that we can be led by the Holy Spirit and not the flesh.  Those who have the Spirit of God can know the thoughts of God.  But God isn't the only one who tries to lead people.  The Devil is also seeking to lead people, but to cause them to stumble.  We must be aware of the two different forces at work.Passages covered:  John 14:10-12;  1 Corinthians 14:3,  2:10-13;  Mathew 16:21-23;  Ephesians 2:1-3,  6:10-19;  2 Corinthians 10:1-5.

    Christ desires you to OVERCOME, are you? (Part 7 - Laodicea)

    In this series on OVERCOMING we will be doing a few episodes looking at Jesus' final words to his church.  His desire is for the church to overcome or to conquer.  Now some may think it doesn't really matter in the end, however, Jesus has some stern warnings to some of these churches if they do not overcome or fix the current problem that he sees.  The consequences of not fixing the problem and overcoming are eternal consequences as we will find out as we at each church.Today we will be looking at the church of Laodicea.  This church was had grown complacent.  Unlike Sardis, who was still at least attempting to do good but were doing their works and not being led by the Holy Spirit; Laodicea was doing nothing.  Yet this church thought they were rich.  But God requires us to not only be freed and cleansed from all sin, but also being led by His Spirit to do His will.  Laodicea was complacent thinking they had already received their crown.  God being merciful and loving is giving this church another change to repent so that she can overcome and receive the eternal reward..If you have any questions or would like to set up a conversation to discuss questions please email:  Warriors4ChristYT@gmail.comPassages covered:  Revelation 3:14-22;  Proverbs 2:1-3:12;  Hebrews 12:6-15;  1 John 2:3-4;  Colossians 1:15-16;  Mathew 24:33-25:13;  Luke 12:35-40.

    In this series on OVERCOMING we will be doing a few episodes looking at Jesus' final words to his church.  His desire is for the church to overcome or to conquer.  Now some may think it doesn't really matter in the end, however, Jesus has some stern warnings to some of these churches if they do not overcome or fix the current problem that he sees.  The consequences of not fixing the problem and overcoming are eternal consequences as we will find out as we at each church.As we continue looking at the church of Sardis in part 5B it is important to understand the difference between the many who had soiled themselves vs the many who didn't.  Who were those who didn't need to wake up, who Jesus would not come as a thief, whose names would not be blotted out of the book of life.? In Part 5B, the next episode we will look at "waking up", "white clothes", and names in the "book of life".     Christ desires you to OVERCOME, are you? (Part 5A - Sardis)
