    Huachuma and Vilca are sacred plant medicines that have been used in the Amazon for thousands of years. Utilizing the psychoactive compounds Mescaline (Huachuma), and DMT/Bufotenin (Vilca).     Ayahuasca (SpiritQuest Pt.1)

    The plant medicine Ayahuasca has become a popular topic over the past few years, and for good reason. People are returning from the jungles of South America having made recoveries from mental illnesses that western medicine and therapy had no answers for. Or are coming back feeling much more centered and in love with themselves and life. Back in 2017 I felt the call to go and try it for myself.  After hearing so many remarkable stories of entities and visions, I had to see for myself. I was in a dark place in life, and hoped I would also find that healing and self love that I heard so much about. What I ended up finding was not at all what I was expecting, but was exactly what I needed.     Love, Attachment & Heartbreak

    How do you respond to intimacy?  Is it something you fear? Something you crave?  Or something you feel comfortable with? In this episode I talk about the different styles of attachment that we act out in our relationships, and how those set the framework for how we behave when we begin to become intimate with another human being. I pull from my own past to give real examples of these attachment styles in action, as well as a break down of the 3 most common styles we act out Anxious, Avoidant, and Secure With awareness of your specific style of attachment, you will be able to get a better understanding of your relationship insecurities as well as those of your partner or date. Which will help you to be able to love more authentically, heal wounds from the past, grow closer in your connection, or see that this person is not right for you.

    Controlling Chaos (Ego Pt. 3)

    Why do we seek to control our outer reality? Whether its fear, power or comfort we all seek to enact our will over the chaotic forces of reality.  Life holds within it terrifying potential. Even if we are feeling safe and comfortable, there always lies the possibility of it all falling apart. The fear of that, conscious or not, cuts us off from our connecting emotions and pushes us further into our Ego. And an unchecked Ego holds within it a lot of traits that closely resemble the extreme disorders of psychopathy and sociopathy. In this episode, the 3rd in a series of explorations into the Ego, I look into the internal forces that promote connection or separation. Honesty or Deception. Using examples from the cult NXIVM and its leader Keith Raniere to shine some light on those forces within each of us.  With the hope that by bringing awareness to these parts of ourselves, we can begin to act more consciously and reduce the potential for unnecessary pain and negativity in our lives. Acted out against us, or by us.

    Repression & The Shadow (Ego Pt.2)

    What parts of your personality do you show the world? Which ones do you bury in your shadow? We all have a Persona, a collection of our personality traits that we have deemed acceptable and safe to show to other people. But there are many other parts of us that we hide from the world for all kinds of reasons. Maybe we were raised in a situation where we chose to hide our softer side to avoid being ridiculed. Or maybe we grew up in a hostile environment and we learned to bury those parts because showing them could come with painful consequences. Or on the converse side, if we learned to bury our aggressive tendencies. Yet find that we blow up at people for no reason, feeling like something "came over me" Our own life, in conglomeration with our family,  friends, and culture all play a role in what parts of us come out and which ones do not. But if we do not bring awareness to our shadow and seek to uncover those parts of us, and form a relationship to them, then they will act upon us through our subconscious. Causing us to act in ways we don't intend, and potentially creating pain in our lives or those around us. In this episode I want to help to shine a light on those buried elements of us, so that we can learn to express them in healthy ways, or direct that energy into other parts of our lives.

    What do you think of when you hear the word Ego? It is a word that is used regularly in our culture today but seldom do people understand fully what it is. And use it in ways to usually describe arrogant behavior or self centeredness. But in this episode of the Moonz Podcast I attempt to gather as many views as possible to help give us a better understanding of the Ego, as well as our other psychological forces such as the Personality, the Intuition, our Biological Drives, and Consciousness. And how each of those forces either work together or are at odds with each other within our psyche. I also touch on ideas such as the collective ego, group identity, humility vs arrogance, and much more. To see where these phenomena develop, and how we can learn to track their tendencies and have them work for us, instead of against us.

    Dopamine Addiction

    What are you addicted to? In our modern world, there are so many different things that we can get hooked on. From alcohol, to drugs, to porn, candy, Netflix, gambling, video games, and the list goes on. But what goes into those addictions? What is happening in our body when we feel the pull of cravings arise in us? And how does our motivation get completely taken over by those addictions, and cause us to repeat the same patterns over and over again even though they are no longer serving us? In this episode of the Moonz Podcast I go into the inner workings of our brains to understand more clearly what is actually triggering those cravings and addictions.  And offer up solutions for not just how we can overcome those negative habits, but also how we can take the same biological processes that keep us hooked and use them to fuel the changes we desire to make in our lives.

    How do we make positive change in our lives? What are the paths that we can walk to undo our previous patterns of thinking and behavior, and integrate in a new way of living in the world?   One that is aligned with a strong set of core values and promotes meaning, fulfillment and inner harmony. What makes changing so difficult? And how can we seek to change at a level deeper than just our habits to ensure that we will be able to cross that river and not look back? How can we connect to our own internal guiding system to help us create a new future to strive towards and let go of the past? Over the past year I have felt the weight of the consequences that come from refusing to change, of fighting against the flow of life and seeking to control it. And it has forced me to make large alterations in my habits, lifestyle, perspective and identity.   And in episode 2 of the Moonz Podcast, I dive into my own life experience, as well as the leading research into habit change, quantum physics, and psychology to build a road map to help you make the changes that you want in your life. So that you can improve your internal and external realities and become the best version of yourself.

    Honest Communication

    What happens when we talk about our issues?  What is possible when we cultivate a core foundation of truth and trust with our closest relationships, as well as with ourselves? How can we cultivate groups where each member supports each other in the processing of our own internal and external challenges through open and honest communication? What effect would all of these have in our life if we sought to become honest with ourselves and grounded in our unique beauty and our imperfections? And what are the negatives that arise when we bottle up our emotions? When we don't talk to anyone about what we are going through, and worse, become ignorant of (and run from) these deeper parts of our psyche. I have experienced a big shift in my life and my relationships after making a point of integrating honest communication into my core ethos, and practicing it daily through journaling or by engaging in a truthful dialogue with my friends and family. And in this first episode of the Moonz Podcast I dive deep into the life changing benefits of honest communication, how it's impacted my life, and ways in which you can start to add it into yours to achieve a heightened sense of self awareness, self acceptance, and confidence. While also dramatically increasing the connection, growth and positivity in all of your personal relationships.

Lets hold hands and take a trip into the deepest questions of our existence, reality itself, and our human experience. To try and widen our perspectives, and shine a light on our inner and outer worlds. So that you can create the change that you want in your life, find a deep sense of meaning and connection to your present and future reality, and to become the best version of yourself. Each episode will dive deep into a different topic, drawing from a wide expanse of different sources. Including philosophers of the past, modern psychology, ancient spiritual traditions, the church of science, and my own personal experiences in life.
