Tazz Knows

Martial arts is an expression of life. It doesn't bring violence, it brings peace. It is not mindless, but mindful. It shouldn't put strain in our lives, but rather bring flow. I will express who I am outside being an MMA Coach, the brother, the business, Professional wrestling fan and human. There are many things I don't know but that's why I'm here to figure it out. Tazz Knows Just Because It Works Doesn't Mean It's Right

Just Because It Works Doesn't Mean It's Right | Tazz Knows Podcast Just because something works, does that mean it's the right thing to do? It all started when one of my MMA students questioned why I didn't like a particular defensive technique. His argument was simple: "But it works!" And he wasn't necessarily wrong. But that conversation raised a much bigger question: Are we making decisions that help us succeed today while unknowingly hurting our future? In this episode of Tazz Knows, NayNay and I explore the difference between short-term results and long-term success through MMA, business, mental health, and professional wrestling. We discuss: 🥊 MMA: Winning an exchange versus protecting your long-term health and development. 💰 Business: Making money today versus building something sustainable for tomorrow. 🧠 Mental Health: The difference between coping with difficult situations and avoiding the problems we need to address. 🤼 Pro Wrestling: Chasing a big reaction versus building a meaningful, lasting career. But NayNay challenges the entire conversation with one question: "Is there ever a time when winning the moment is more important than winning the war?" Sometimes surviving today is the only way we get a chance at tomorrow. So where do we draw the line between doing what works and doing what's best? 🎙️ Welcome to Tazz Knows, where every conversation is an opportunity to challenge perspectives, share experiences, and walk away knowing a little more than we did before. 💬 JOIN THE CONVERSATION: Have you ever made a decision that worked in the moment but cost you something in the long run? Tazz Knows You Are Not Alone | Battling in Silence, Asking for Help and Finding Your Corner

Sometimes, we convince ourselves that we have to fight everything alone. In this episode of Tazz Knows, Tazz and Naynay talk about what it means to struggle behind the scenes, why asking for help doesn't make you weak, and how important it is to have people in your corner. Tazz shares his perspective as an MMA coach who has spent years standing in someone else's corner, helping fighters through some of their hardest moments. But being the person in someone else's corner doesn't mean you never need someone in yours. Tazz opens up about his own battles, the people he relies on, and why continuing forward doesn't have to mean carrying everything by yourself. Naynay also gets vulnerable and shares part of her personal story. When she was younger and first began training in MMA over 10 years ago, she found herself in a narcissistic relationship that contributed to a very difficult period of depression. Over the years, she worked through those experiences, continued growing, and learned that strength isn't always about handling everything on your own. Sometimes strength looks like saying, "I need help." You don't have to have everything figured out. You don't have to pretend you're okay when you're not. And you don't have to fight every battle alone. If you or someone you know is struggling, start the conversation. Talk to someone you trust, a mental health professional, or someone who can simply listen. You Are More. You Are Not Alone. If you're in the U.S. and experiencing a mental health or suicide crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If this conversation resonates with you, share it with someone who might need to hear it. #TazzKnows #mentalhealth #UFC #mmamindset #FighterMindset #Discipline #wrestling #TazzKnows #YouAreMore #YouAreNotAlone #MentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #988Lifeline #MMA #MMACommunity #AskingForHelp #YouAreMore988 🥋 Like, comment, and subscribe for more inspiring conversations from the fight
