    S05E01: The One With Old Nick

    KJ and Meredith, much like the Winchester brothers, are reuniting for the next chapter of the Supernatural saga, kicking off a new season.     S05E02: The One Where It's War (What Is It Good For)

    KJ and Meredith are joined this week by Rick, who has never watched Supernatural so they put their brotherly bipartisanship to the test. This is a deep dive about hitting rock bottom, how we really got to where we are, and forging new paths in the aftermath. Plus we finally get eyes on some long-lost friends, which has KJ and Meredith jumping for joy. Meredith also has a biblical book to focus her research on. CW Episode Description: Castiel tells Sam and Dean that he is going to search for God, who will be able to defeat Lucifer. Bobby's (guest star Jim Beaver) old hunter friend, Rufus (guest star Steven Williams), is panicked about demons attacking his town, and begs Bobby for help. Sam and Dean arrive at the town and realize there is a spell over the townspeople, making them hallucinate that they are demons and causing them to kill one another.     S05E03: The One Where Dean Knows Bert and Ernie Are Gay

    KJ and Meredith are sitting down with fellow Pod Squad member August (Saving People, Queering Things) and first time guest Nell (Totally Normal About That) to talk about this very destiel-heavy episode of the CW’s Supernatural. There are two things we know this week: Bert and Ernie are gay, and so are Dean and Cas. KJ does in depth analysis about Sam’s sleeping positions. The crew gives some advice on how best to interact with new co-workers without causing an HR incident.  CW Episode Description: Not sure he trusts himself anymore, Sam decides to give up hunting, but a late-night visitor (guest star Adrianne Palicki) won't let him off the hook that easily.     S05E04: The One With Rhonda Hurley's Pink Satiny Panties

    Joining KJ and Meredith this week are two first time guests Alyssa and Meg. This week’s episode leads to the most complicated and potentially controversial death count segment to date, thanks to alternate realities, demonic viruses, and the humanization of an angel. Meredith gives us the 4-1-1 on Lucifer in the mythology segment, while KJ alternates between gratitude for Sam’s socks and a plea for ethical non-monogamy in the event of post-apocalyptic life.  CW Episode Description: Sam tells Dean he wants to rejoin Dean in the battle of the Apocalypse, but Dean tells Sam that they are better off apart. Later, Dean awakens five years in the future in an abandoned city and is attacked by humans who have been infected with a demonic virus that turns humans into Zombies. Zachariah (guest star Kurt Fuller) appears to Dean and explains that this is the world that exists as a result of Dean saying no to helping the angels fight Lucifer. Dean meets up with Future Dean, who tells him that the virus is the Devil's endgame for destroying mankind. Misha Collins also stars. KJ rejoices as Sam and Dean try to talk about their feelings without fighting, and everyone celebrates the celebrity cameo.     S05E06: The One With The Drag Tooth Fairy

    Meredith and KJ are joined by long-awaited Pod Squad guest star Sam (Saving People, Queering Things; Queering People, Saving Throws) in this week’s episode where things are going wacky. The squad gets hyped about The Rock in The Toothfairy (2010) and have a PSA about food safety. KJ and Sam raise questions about the demonic reproductive process, which raises a bunch more questions about demon biology! KJ defends Sam from his best frenemy.  Added note: KJ would like to formally apologize for not pointing out Julia was portrayed by Ever Carradine who was Naomi Putnam in The Handmaid's Tale  CW Episode Description: Sam and Dean investigate a series of odd murders that strangely resemble fairytales and urban legends. The brothers track down an 11-year-old boy named Jesse (guest star Gattlin Griffith) and realize that whatever Jesse believes is coming true. Castiel tells Sam and Dean that Jesse is a serious threat and needs to be eliminated.
