    Entry 14-Processing Aspects of My Spiritual Awakening

    I stumbled across an old journal entry today from December 5th, 2021. It’s now the last day of June 2022. I wanted to share this entry because it really touches on a lot of personal medicine I’ve gathered from my journey through navigating an awakening, being homeless, & having diabetic complications. This was one of the hardest points of my life. As I reflect on the many twists & turns of that part of my journey, I’m so incredibly proud of myself for my ability to return to a state of optimism & clear vision.     Entry 13-Spring Equinox Energy Update From Mother Earth

    Join me in the mountains of Santa Fe amongst the birds & the trees as we dive deeper into the energy of the upcoming season of Spring.     Aloha! I’m Raven Shea. Entry 11 is so extremely dear to my heart. I had the privilege of working with this extremely intelligent little 5 year old on & off the last few years. I’ve come to develop a deep love for her & her sisters. She has taught me some great lessons, some of which are captured in this interview with her. Kids are so much smarter than we give them credit for! Entry 11 includes an interview style conversation with miss Alia, who answers the following questions: What does it mean to see from the heart? What does it mean to be a strong lady? What message do the unicorns have for us? What do the fairies do for us? What will our world be like in 300 years? How do you call out to your dragons? What does anger feel like for you? How can you feel your anger in a healthy way? She then asks me the following questions in return: How does it feel when someone hurts your feelings? What should you do when you feel stuck? If you had a cat what would you feel like? What would it be like if you saw all this land in front of you destroyed? How do you feel when you’re by water that’s not a pool? What message do the turtles have for us? It is a combination of personal stories that offer insight on how I moved to Sedona, then Florida, then North Carolina to become a traveling type 1 diabetic; the other side to being intentionally “homeless”; saying goodbye to a beloved pet familiar; & why I cut my hair shorter than it’s ever been in the last 13 years. Entry 3 is a combination of responses to the question “What does pride mean to you?” gathered from random people my sister & I encountered while walking along LGBTQ supportive Pearl Street Mall in Boulder Colorado. It is a beautiful collection of voices from those who walk among us in our community, rather than the voices of professionals or “gurus”. I wanted to capture the authentic street flavor of people who drew my attention for this question. Entry 3 touches on subjects such as coming out to unsupportive parents, feeling accepted/supported by friend groups when switching pronouns & what that looks like, & how to embody self confidence in a way that comes from within rather than from external validation. This episode will be especially helpful for those who struggle with accepting their sexuality bc of parental shame!
