Lead Generation Part 2. Email Marketing

In last episode Step 8, we discussed ways of attracting visitors to our websites. After using blogs, joining community forums, social media posts and a host of attractions to get actions we now engage and retain our leads. In this episode we will use one tool- email marketing to connect our customers. [Every Wednesday @12PM we will discuss important information about your web presence.] DigiNopsis: Here are some tips to follow to have an effective email marketing campaign for lead generation: Only send email marketing campaigns to people who have signed up for or requested them. Look for email marketing programs with opt-in buttons or sign-up forms to help build permission-based contact lists. Stick to a schedule Test different days and times to see which combination has the best open rate (the number of list subscribers who opened the email message, a percentage of the total number of emails sent). Be consistent. Only include requested subject matter Deliver the kind of information your contacts signed up for, and you’ll build credibility and trust. Send them a newsletter about party planning when they signed up for plumbing tips, and you’ll probably lose a subscriber  Placing your contacts in different groups based on their interests or preferences to market more effectively Avoid spam and trash folders. To prevent triggering spam filters, avoid using all caps or multiple exclamation marks in the subject line or body of your email Give them reading options. Send both HTML and plain text versions of your newsletter so all of your contacts can read your message on their computer or mobile device Put a name to your email. Use your personal name or the name of your business as the From or Sender name. Keep building your contact list Add calls-to-action and sign-up forms to your websiteand social media profiles, and collect contact information in person at events or conferences Reference: Amazon Kindle & Audio Book: How To Launch Your First Successful Email marketing Campaign Domain name search transfer and registration : Full Website Solution Subscribe: https://tinyurl.com/SmartBizja Domain name search transfer and registration : Full Website Solution

Hidden Treasures of the Old Capital

Unfortunately, some of the historical artifacts are now hidden treasures in Spanish Town. When the British invaded Jamaica and battled the Spanish in 1655, their victory was not in vain. In fact, over the centuries they made quite an impression. Their signature mastery of Georgian architecture and stacked red bricks, cemented memorable events that will never be forgotten. It is the ruins left behind that give prominence to these historical artifacts as we salvage the little-known secrets and have discussions about its past.  We highlight opinion of some, regarding Spanish Town being a prominent tourist attraction. Byte of The Record- Bad Odor, Good Opportunity

To kick things off on our next step, I decided to break the ice and share an inspirational story. As is customary, every month I break the ice to introduce another episode to my usual digital marketing podcast.  The theme of today's story looks at life. I use biblical reference (John 11: 39-43) to highlight Lazarus' story. He was pronounced dead but was resurrected after Jesus visited his tomb. When we compared this story with many situation today, we see that often times we give up when there are greater opportunities for success. While we might not be physically dead as Lazarus, there are situations that are recoverable and hopeful if we practice more faith. What might appear dead in our lives, could be the perfect opportunity to prove there is a greatest force beyond our limited understanding. Next Episode in Our Podcast  Join me in the next episode of Digital Matters as we move to step 8 in our podcast where we focus on ways to drive traffic to our website by generating leads.
