    Homecoming

Sermon Title: Homecoming Main Scripture: Luke 15:20 "So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him." Synopsis: Heaven loves a homecoming! On this Homecoming Sunday, we look at the story of the prodigal son and the extravagant grace of the Father. We are praying and believing that our loved ones who have wandered will turn back home this year. The Spirit-Led Life

Series: Galatians 5 Sermon Title: The Spirit-Led Life Main Scripture: Galatians 5:5 “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit" Synopsis: As we close out our series studying Galatians 5, we’re reminded that Paul warns believers of two forms of slavery that pretend to give freedom: legalism, which tries to earn God’s favor, and licentiousness, which uses grace as an excuse to indulge the desires of the flesh. The way of avoiding these is not a better checklist, or our discipline, but a life led by the Holy Spirit. It is by His leading in our life that we can rest in the finish work of Jesus, learn to not gratify the desires of our flesh, and use the freedom Christ has given us to serve others in love. Fruit of the Spirit: Self-Control

Series: Galatians 5Fruit of the Spirit: Self-ControlMain Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23a “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control"Synopsis: “Self-Control” can often sound a lot like “I just need to be better”, but like the rest of the fruit of the Spirit, it doesn’t start with us. In this message, we examine where self-control comes from, how we can practically partner with the Spirit’s work in our life, and how the path forward begins not with trying harder, but with coming to Christ in our weakness.September 20, 2026 • Tucker Parman• • • • • • • •.• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Join us for service in person and online every Sunday at 10am (MST) at the City Life Community Center in Missoula, MT. Fruit of the Spirit: Gentleness

Sermon Title: GentlenessMain Scripture: Galatians 5:22–23 (ESV)“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”Synopsis: This week we continue our series through the fruit of the Spirit by looking at gentleness. Biblical gentleness is not weakness or passivity; it is strength that doesn’t need to be harsh. Through the example of Moses in Numbers 12, the character of Jesus in Matthew 11, and Paul’s call to restore others gently in Galatians 6, we’ll see how gentleness shapes the way we respond to criticism, carry truth, and treat people when they fail. Ultimately, we’ll look to Jesus, who perfectly shows us what it means to use strength for restoration rather than destruction.September 13, 2026 • Matt Pye• • • • • • • •.• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Join us for service in person and online every Sunday at 10am (MST) at the City Life Community Center in Missoula, MT. Fruit of the Spirit: Faithfulness

Series: Galatians 5 Main Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23a “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" Synopsis: Faithfulness rarely looks impressive in the moment. It’s often the unglamorous, accumulated work of showing up again and again, long after it stops feeling significant. In this message we look at the Parable of the Talents to see that faithfulness takes time, refuses to compare itself to others, and is ultimately required of everyone entrusted with something by God. And it all flows from the God who remains faithful to us even when we are faithless. Fruit of the Spirit: Goodness

Series: Galatians 5 Main Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23a “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" Synopsis: This week we looked at goodness as a fruit of the Spirit. Biblical goodness begins with the character of God. God is good, and what He does is good. Through the story of the Good Samaritan, we saw that goodness doesn’t simply notice a need or feel compassion; it seeks what is truly good and moves toward people in practical, sometimes costly ways. Because God has moved toward us in Jesus and given us His Spirit, we can look for opportunities even interruptions to actively do good and “go and do likewise. Fruit of the Spirit: Kindness

Series: Galatians 5 Main Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23a “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" Synopsis: God’s nature and self description is that He is kind! His kindness is shown most fully through Jesus going to the cross.God’s kindness doesn’t ignore sin—it leads us toward repentance, forgiveness, and freedom. When we receive His kindness, His kindness finds us, changes us, and flows through us to others.
