Raw Conversations with Corinne Blum

Corinne Blum

Raw Conversations is an off the cuff podcast, a stream of consciousness, a raw & vulnerable chat about being human, especially as we move through these evolutionary times. It's a safe place to put down any masks you might wear, drop the shame of being human & know, instead, that you're not alone & that it's ok to be you just as you are in this moment. We dive below who we think we should be & into who we truly are as our Authentic Self, embracing both our humanity & our divinity; coming into wholeness. It's a gentle space to be in both our messy humanness and our playful free-spiritedness!

    What Are We Really Seeking?

A lot of people might say they're seeking happiness, peace, success, comfort...but there is one thing that lies underneath all of these which I believe is the one thing we're really, truly seeking. It might even give us the answers to why we're here and what the meaning of life is. Join me in the conversation and contemplation of what we're really seeking in life. Let's talk about soul. Let's get into what this all means. And let's look at why so many of us are burnt out. Tune in for more... Loving you from afar, Corinne Enjoying this podcast? Summary Corinne Blum has just finished three days of silence, and she uses it to ask what people are really seeking. Her answer is that it isn't happiness or peace on their own. People are seeking themselves, a feeling of "home" within. She explains why burnout isn't a personal defect, why shame and judgment keep us from that inner home, and how to start walking back to it. Key Topics and Takeaways Silence as recharging. Corinne spends a day without talking, phone or stimulation. For her it's bliss and a way to refill.Burnout and the seasons. In the cooler, darker months our energy naturally turns inward. Society still expects the same pace, so burnout follows."Nothing is wrong with your nervous system." Your body is wise and is flagging an unhealthy environment. The defect is society, not you. What we're really seeking. Happiness, peace and love all depend on a healthy relationship with ourselves. We're seeking the truth of who we are.Home is within. Home is the feeling of relief, of not needing to try. External "homes" only get us so close.Life as experience. Corinne's view is that the soul comes to Earth to gather experience, like traveling away from your hometown. Seeing events as neutral experiences, not good or bad, lets us weave a richer "tapestry."Shame and judgment create the distance. Childhood beliefs like "I'm not good enough" keep us from turning inward. The hero's and heroine's journeys. We over-index on proving ourselves externally. We also need the inward journey of integrating what we learned and returning to ourselves. How to start:Make time to be still and listen.Look at your shame, fear and judgment with compassion and patience.Aim to judge yourself less and less.Keep returning to love: "Just be love."Closing invitation. You can still play the game of life, but awake, "like lucid dreaming." The obstacle is the way.
