She had always felt a deep calling to become a birth worker, and once she transitioned into motherhood herself, she began pursuing her work as a Holistic Childbirth educator. She had an extremely traumatic experience postpartum, almost losing her life. But through advocating for herself she was able to save her own life. In this interview we will discuss her birth experience, how she healed the trauma from her postpartum experience, the work she is doing with mothers today, valuable advice on how to advocate for yourself, and a topic that I am very much new to but want to continue learning about - Black Maternal Health Crisis.
