What is OLD COVENANT and what is NEW COVENANT?

In Acts, the church had much debate over what was required for new converts to do in order to be saved. While we may not frame it in this exact same way, Christians today continue to argue over what is culturally appropriate for Christians to do today. We are called to be set apart, but we also have freedom in Christ. Paul says, "All things are permissible but not all things are beneficial". So where is the line? Non-staff elder, Brian Martin, tackles this question today through his sermon on Acts 15:1-11.

Will Your FAITH Endure to the END?

How do you know if you will finish strong in your faith? What causes someone to stumble away? Pastor Eddie Williams shares three ways you can maintain a healthy faith in Jesus and highlights the theological term "perseverance of the saints" reminding us that in Philippians it is written "He who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it". Don't rely on your own strength, rely on Jesus!

RESISTANCE isn't EVIDENCE of God's ABSENCE

When you live out the Christian calling, you will face opposition. The question is, what is the correct response. There are 3 primary ways we see the apostles respond in the book of Acts, depending on the context of their situation: remain in the pain, pivot wisely, keep the mission. . Doxa church gathers on Sundays at 9am and 11am in Redmond, WA. If you are looking for a biblically-based church on the Eastside, visit one of our next gatherings.

Is it Human Responsibility or God's Sovereignty?

Does a person make a choice to accept or reject God, or is it solely up to God's will to decide who will be saved? How do I know if I am saved? Does God send people to Hell?

Do you REALLY know the Gospel?

In Acts 13:13-41, Paul gives an overview that at face value seems like Israel's story, but in reality, it's God's story. Paul is actually just telling the Gospel, which can seem mundane or familiar for the long-time Christian, but as soon as you think you know the Gospel, you need to hear it again.

    The person God CAN'T save

We believe that God is sovereign, the Holy Spirit is moving, and God can change even the most stubborn of people, so why don't we live like it? If God is powerful enough to change hearts, we need to be bold enough to speak His truth.

The tools you use are shaping you

In a world where we are completely inundated by technology, the ease of access to information and tools like AI is a two-edged sword. Yes, efficiency is at an all-time high, but so is identity crisis. We shape tools then the tools shape us. How are you being changed?

The Danger of Being Your Own Pastor

We're not exactly fans of being told what to do. Words like "authority" or "power" make us bristle. We don't like the politicians in authority. We may not be fans of our bosses or managers... or at least the idea of them. 1 Peter 5 wants to answer an adjacent question: How does Jesus care for His church while His people wait for their future hope? How does he guard them, protect them, feed them God's word? How does he keep them from wandering? ---------- Doxa, Church, Washington, Acts 29, Seattle, Redmond, Bellevue, Woodinville, Sammamish, Issaquah, Kirkland, Bible, Jesus, God, Authority, Elder, Pastor, Shepherd
