  1. Overcoming the Downward Spiral: Processing Anger, Finding Gratitude & Healing

Overcoming the Downward Spiral: Processing Anger, Finding Gratitude & Healing

Overcoming the Downward Spiral: Processing Anger, Finding Gratitude & Healing In this conversation, we dive deep into the struggles of self-shame and the dangerous downward spiral that can happen when you put yourself down for your feelings. We discuss the concept of the "pain body" mentioned by Eckhart Tolle, exploring how we can subconsciously become addicted to our own pain and chaos because we are comfortable with it and fear better situations. Rocky opens up about his personal journey, sharing how he transitioned from destructive coping mechanisms like drinking, partying, and expressing anger by punching walls, to discovering healthier physical outlets like movement, eating better food, and hitting a tennis ball to work through frustrations. We talk about the importance of introspection—slowing down to ask yourself why you are feeling sad or angry, and allowing yourself to actually feel those emotions without judgment. A major focus of this episode is the incredible, life-changing power of gratitude. Rocky shares a raw story about his best friend Sean Lawrence teaching him to find simple things to be thankful for—like breathing and having a safe home—even while crying on the floor, going through a breakup, and withdrawing from toxic substances. Whether through mental check-ins or a gratitude journal, finding gratitude can completely shift your mindset. We also break down the critical difference between reactive, ego-based anxiety and true intuition, which flows to you naturally from a calm place. If you've ever watched YouTube videos and cried just to feel like you aren't the only person going crazy in your own mind, your feelings are valid, and we are so glad you are here listening to this. Key Topics Covered: Mental Health & Self-Shame: Stopping the cycle of invalidating your own sadness. The Pain Body: Why we get addicted to toxic patterns and abusive relationships. Managing Anger: How to use physical exertion like walking, running, or screaming into a pillow to process rage safely. The Power of Gratitude: How a gratitude practice can save you in your darkest moments. Anxiety vs. Intuition: Learning to identify which inner voice is guiding your decisions. Support the show

Left for Dead and Turned to Drugs & Violence. Then the healing started.

I was assaulted and thrown onto concrete… and that moment changed the next decade of my life. This video tells the real story of what came after: catastrophic facial injuries, around twenty surgeries, chronic pain, and the opioid dependency that grew out of medical treatment. It also tells the other side of it… how trauma, a record, and old labels can make the system look at someone like a criminal before it ever sees the victim. For years, I lived inside pain, anger, survival mode, and the long aftermath of violence. What started as recovery from physical injuries became a battle for my mind, my identity, and my future. This is about trauma, incarceration, addiction, healing, entrepreneurship, and trying to build a life when the scars never fully leave. But it’s also about redemption. I’m not sharing this for pity. I’m sharing it for the people who feel too damaged, too far gone, too misunderstood, or too broken to come back. I know what it feels like to be one of the “worst cases.” And I also know healing is possible… not perfect healing, not fake healing, but real healing that starts from the inside. Today, I want to help others trapped in cycles of abuse, violence, trauma, addiction, and self-destruction. Through mentorship, coaching, inner work, and honest conversation, I want to help people rebuild from the ground up. If this story hits home, subscribe, leave a comment, and share it with someone who needs hope. #TraumaRecovery #AddictionRecovery #HealingJourney #AssaultSurvivor #OpioidRecovery #MentalHealthRecovery #SobrietyJourney #EntrepreneurMindset #PersonalDevelopment #RedemptionStory Support the show

  3. Discipline vs Motivation: Integrating some keys to success !

Discipline vs Motivation: Integrating some keys to success !

Motivation:  ·      (noun) The general desire or willingness of someone to do something. Discipline:  ·      (verb) To train by instruction and exercise; drill. When you’re planning on changing something at work:  ·      Allow motivation to inspire you, drive your innovative thoughts, and light the flame of change within you. Do not expect it to hang about, though.  ·      Once your motivation has sparked this new way of thinking, you need to focus on building more disciplined actions around it. So, for example, if you’ve decided you want to speed up team briefings and think of an excellent way to do it, you need to become disciplined enough to implement the innovation. The term “get on with it” comes to mind.  ·      Finally, you need to be specific with what the discipline will look like when it comes to achieving your particular goal. It’s much easier to stick to a well-established plan, rather than a mish-mash of half-thought-through ideas that are liable to change.  When discussing the motivation versus discipline topic, often people ask me: “Which is more important?” The truth of the matter is motivation, and discipline, or self-discipline, work hand-in-hand. They are equally important when it comes to forming the habits that you need to establish for success at work or in life—Ying and Yang, if you like. They work in harmony if implemented correctly; you can use motivation for the initial boost and startup process, while self-discipline will allow you to sustain the effort, keeping you focused on the task at hand.  Published by: Yashar Kafi Support the show
