Urgent Prayers for the Full and Speedy Recovery of Neria Leiter

On September 23, Neria Leiter became the latest victim of Palestinian Arab terror in Israel when he was run down by a terrorist. He remains in critical condition and needs our urgent prayers. Unfortunately Neria is only the latest victim in a terror culture and war that pervades and threatens Israelis daily. We know about Neria Leiter as compared to the hundreds of other terror victims because his father is the Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter. Unfortunately also, this is not the Leiters’ first experience of war and terror. In 2023, their son/brother Moshe was killed in combat. Please listen, join in prayer, lift up Neria and all the Leiters, and share this widely for others to do the same. Are Israelis Closer to Knowing Who to Vote For

Israel’s October 27 national election is right around the corner, but in Israeli political life it’s still an eternity. How are Israeli voters evaluating who to vote for? What’s the most influential factor: the parties, their platforms, or the personalities behind them? How are votes calculated not only about which party to vote for, but who each party may or may not consider forming a coalition with? Three years after the most devastating attack on Israel how do issues of security and international diplomacy impact the vote? These and many other topics are on the minds of most Israelis, and are the topics of this next part in this series. The Moslem Brotherhood’s Infiltration of American Elections

For nearly a century, the Moslem Brotherhood has had an agenda to infiltrate and conquer communities and countries around the world. Moslem Brotherhood ideology has become state theology in some Arab and Islamic countries including US allies. Western countries built on Biblical values are in their crosshairs. Their influence has been widely documented and exposed in media, academia, politics, and more. Today, on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attack in the United States, in the wake of the election of Islamists to public office in New York, for Congress and Senate, and in state elections, the upcoming US midterm election stands to be the most critical in terms of elevating Islamists into positions of influence, Islamic foreign electoral interference, the threat that is derived from these from outside actors like Qatar and Turkey, and from imported and home grown violent Islamist extremists (HVEs) within the United States. Forgiveness: A Jewish and Christian Perspective

Forgiveness is a unique concept in Judaism and Christianity, yet Jews and Christians approach forgiveness differently. Both offer profound teachings on mercy, repentance, and reconciliation—rooted in Torah, the Prophets, the Gospels, and centuries of interpretation. How do Jewish concepts like teshuvah and divine pardon relate to Christian ideas of grace and atonement? How do we approach forgiveness from our respective traditions on an individual basis, and in relation to God? Where do the traditions converge, and where do they diverge in theology and in practice? As we enter the High Holiday season, a cornerstone of which is about forgiveness, whether you bring personal insight, scholarly interest, or quiet curiosity, please a thoughtful conversation exploring Jewish and Christian perspectives on forgiveness. Unfinished Business - 500 Black Christians Coming to Israel to Fulfill Dr. King's Vision

Unfinished Business is more than a program to bring black Christian leaders for a groundbreaking trip to Israel, it is a continuation of the work and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who planned to bring 5000 black leaders on a pilgrimage to Israel in 1967. The trip never happened because Dr. King was assassinated, but today that remarkable consequential idea is being revived by Dr. Michael Stevens and Pastor Dumisani Washington. If you try to imagine what would have been had Dr. King brought his group as planned, today you can see that vision realized nearly six decades later. Join the conversation about why, why now, and why it’s so important. Get information about The Council and the Unfinished Business trip at www.BCLCIR.org. Understanding Israel’s Ultra-Orthodox Dilemma

Michael Freund is a rabbi with an Ivy League education, and leader of important social initiatives. His broad world view provides a broad-based discussion on Israel’s ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) draft exemption, a growing source of societal tension throughout Israel. It’s centrality today originates after the Holocaust, but has ballooned into tens of thousands of deferments while others bear the heavy burden of military service. What are the causes, and ways to repair the division, to have greater Haredi integration, warning against politicizing Torah study and urging a balanced approach that honors both spiritual learning and national defense.
