    Welcome back, class. Today’s essential question: Does Hollywood actually know what fans want anymore? First, we’re breaking down the Spider Man: Brand New Day trailer and asking if Marvel finally got Peter Parker back to being your friendly neighborhood Spider Man. (9:16) Then we head to the Hellmouth, where the Buffy reboot is already dead, and ask the question every teacher loves: was this doomed from the start? (15:57) Stephen Colbert and son are writing a new Lord of the Rings film. Essential question: Does being the ultimate fan make you the perfect person to tell the story, or is that exactly what makes it risky? (19:45) After that, we’re off to Hogwarts, where HBO is spending big money on a new Harry Potter series and betting that fans will show up for another reset.
