    An Easy Life Creates Soft People - Meet Omar, Who is Grateful for his Wartime Experience

    Hello Folks! Please meet Omar, who was raised in Libya and lived through the NATO bombing campaign and the following civil war. It was interesting for me to hear that Gaddafi dictatorship in Libya wasn't much different to the dictatorships in the former Eastern Bloc. I have heard many similar stories from my parents growing up in Hungary.  In this episode you hear about  - why it is good and bad to live under a dictatorship (yep, there are good sides too!), - how is it to live when there is war in your country, - how all these experiences affected Omar,  - and finally how is living and dating in Poland as a foreigner. Enjoy and let me know about your reflections! P.S.: it started raining heavily during the recording. I hope I did a great job editing the rain sounds out of the recording and that the editing didn't lower the sound quality too much. If the enjoyability suffered, my apologies.

    There is Life After Toastmasters - Travels, People, Hardcore Spirituality and Much More

    After my break up with Toastmasters I was in a dark and hopeful space. I knew it was time to change and change I did big time! This episode is about my answer to my future life after Toastmasters that I had a glimpse into through my travels to Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Costa Rica and Voivodina, Serbia. I had amazing experiences with nature, tantra, amazing people, psychedelics and life lessons that I will remember forever. After these trips I have understood that I am about to enter the most amaznig period of my life so far. Listen to this episode for a deep dive in my journey as I have experienced it! Enjoy! :-)

    The Intense Life David McDowell - More than Eight Decades of Living History

    Hi Folks! I am happy to announce that David is back with another episode, where we talk about his life. This sounds a bit too simple and uninteresting but if you think like this, boy, you are wrong! The episode does start a bit slow but like a freight train, once it gains speed, it is nearly unstoppable!  Call boy, soldier, accountant, and many more trades that David had tried and described in this episode. I have a feeling that it would be easier to list what David hasn't tried in his life. The conversation seems so random or better said, I never had an idea, what comes next. I could not find a pattern with which I could predict what David will talk about next. In the end, I was totally blown away with the ultimate twist that made my jaw drop. What is spirituality then? I didn't hold myself back with this conversation with Dragos Folea. I was grilling him hard to get answers that can be useful for anyone. Men, women, the religious, the lost or all of these categories combined. In this one, you can listen to a friendly conversation that I had with a Toastmasters veteran, who first joined Toastmasters about 50 years ago. At that time women were still not allowed to the club David went to.  Listen to this podcast if you want to learn more about how Toastmasters used to be, what the recent changes had brought, and if you want to know, who a great speaker is and how to give a great speech. This conversation was timely because I have recently quit Toastmasters, effective from 1. October. Toastmasters has been an important milestone in my public speaking career and it is now high time I move on. It feels like once step closer growing up.     Sziasztok! Trianon 101. évfordulójára emlékezve Krakkóban beszélgettünk egy hatalmasat három határon túlival, akik Erdélyt, a Felvidéket és a Vajdaságot képviselték. Olyan témákat beszéltünk át, mint: - Milyen a határon túl magyarnak lenni - Hogyan élnek túl a politika viharában - Mit jelent nekik Trianon - Pár érdekesség, ami csak a saját régiójukra jellemzó Külön sajnálom, hogy azok a témák nem kerültek be a podcastba, amikről a felvétel utáni sörözésen beszélgettünk.
