    EP 231: Scaling Your Business... With What F*ck*ng Time?!

    Scaling Your Business... WITH WHAT F*CKING TIME?! I'm recording this podcast from my CAR while running errands to renovate our basement into a Pilates studio/playroom for my girls. LOL. Because I'm now a widowed mother of two, my girls need every ounce of me right now, I'm doing hours of therapy & healing work, AND we're scaling Breadwinner Energy®. So when women tell me they want to make more money, grow their businesses, make a bigger impact & still have an actual LIFE... My question is always WITH WHAT F*****G TIME?! I've spent over 10 years building businesses, and I've also spent a lot of those years in survival mode. From growing up in poverty to working every hour of the day because I was terrified of going BACK to poverty, to navigating motherhood, abusive relationships, divorce & now grief. For a long time, my body didn't even know how to f*****g relax. And learning how to slow down, have hobbies, be creative & actually ENJOY the life I've built has been a whole journey of its own. Because I don't want to spend my entire life working just because I know how to make money. I want to raise my children. I want to renovate my house. I want to have hobbies. I want time to heal. I want to make a bigger impact & grow my business WITHOUT needing to be involved in every single little thing. And I want other women to have that kind of freedom too IN THIS EPISODE, WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: Why I'm recording a podcast from my iPhone in my car instead of waiting for the perfect studio, equipment or setup. What it actually looks like to scale a business while raising two children, navigating grief & prioritizing healing.     Ep 230: Grief Doesn't Give a F*ck About Your Business

    I Became a Widow at 33. The Business I Built Gave Me the Freedom to Grieve. Content Warning: This episode discusses suicide loss, grief, widowhood, and mental health. I don't even know how to start this episode, honestly. Five months ago, I lost my husband to suicide. At 33 years old, I became a widow and a mother of two little girls navigating a life I never imagined we'd have. And this is my first episode back. There are parts of my story I'm not ready to share. Parts I'm still trying to understand. And parts that belong to my children, not the internet. But I did want to come back and talk about something I've spent the last decade teaching women. Building a business that gives you the freedom to actually LIVE your life. Even when life is f*****g brutal. Over the last five months, I've taken time away from my business. I've moved, bought a home, restructured my team, navigated things I never thought I'd have to navigate & leaned on the women and community I've spent years building. And through all of it, Breadwinner Energy® has continued to operate, grow & serve our clients. Holy shit. We actually built something here. For years, I've talked about time freedom, financial independence, business ownership, relationships & building something beyond yourself. I understood why those things mattered before. But I understand them in a completely different way now. In this episode, I'm sharing what these last five months have looked like, how grief has changed my relationship with money, ambition & motherhood, and why building a sustainable business is about so much more than making another dollar.
