Eskimo Brothers - Episode 231 - Pennant Races, Bad TV & The Rubber Ducky Incident

Send us Fan Mail Episode 231 is here!  We kick things off with some weekend fun before diving into a packed week of entertainment and sports.  Netflix's latest Monster season takes on Lizzie Borden... and let's just say we weren't impressed.  Marvel apparently still has plenty cooking for Disney+, Mike Tyson is getting the Netflix documentary treatment, Mark Wahlberg is taking on Pete Rose, and Jelly Roll says he might walk away from music, which somehow we'll find a way to survive.  We also tear into a questionable list of the “50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time,” pay our respects to a musician who helped define the '90s, and then head over to sports.  Somehow, some way, the Texas Rangers enter the final six games of the season sitting one game ahead in the division despite spending plenty of this season looking like they wanted absolutely nothing to do with October.  We break down the playoff race, recap NFL Week 2, look ahead to next week's matchups, and preview our next Thursday Night Live Watch Party: Falcons vs. Packers.  And finally, Georgia provides us with one of those stories that reminds us why we do this podcast.  A man allegedly trespasses onto someone's property, helps himself to their hot tub, and commits an act against a rubber ducky that no innocent bath toy should ever have to endure.  Movies. TV. Music. Sports. Rubber duck trauma.  It's The Eskimo Brothers Podcast — Episode 231: Pennant Races, Bad TV & The Rubber Ducky Incident. https://linktr.ee/eskimobrotherspodcast

Eskimo Brothers - Episode 229 - GTA 6 Is Mind Blowing, Spider-Man Dominates & NFL Owner Arrested

Send us Fan Mail Episode 229 is here, and somehow the news just keeps getting crazier.  We kick things off with the absolutely ridiculous box office runs of Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, two movies that have turned into legitimate worldwide phenomenons.  We also talk about the long-awaited National Treasure 3 finally moving forward and Breaking Bad making its way to the big screen for a special one-night theatrical event.  Then it's time for GTA 6.  We got an extended look at what Rockstar has been cooking, and if what we've seen is any indication, this game is going to be absolutely mind blowing. Unfortunately, we also have perhaps the largest RIP segment we've ever had.  We take time to remember and pay our respects to several major names we've recently lost, including two absolute icons in Dolly Parton and Tim Curry.  Then FOOTBALL IS HERE.  The NFL preseason is officially over, and now it's time to get ready for the games that actually count. We also discuss one of the craziest NFL stories we've seen in a while after 49ers owner Jed York was arrested in an Ohio prostitution sting.  And in some news we can actually celebrate, the NFL is finally doing away with the actual Pro Bowl game and competitions beginning with the 2026 season.  THANK GOD.  Players will still receive the Pro Bowl honor, but we no longer have to pretend to care about watching the event. 😂  Then there's the Texas Rangers.  Somehow they've managed to go from bad...to worse.  The ship isn't just sinking anymore, it may already be sitting at the bottom of the ocean.  We unload on another miserable stretch of Rangers baseball and where the organization goes from here.  And naturally, we end Episode 229 with another story that makes us question humanity, a woman handing over a ridiculous amount of money to a scammer she believed was a famous country singer.  Movies.  GTA.  Football.  Rangers misery.  Scammers.  Absolute chaos.  Welcome to Episode 229 of The Eskimo Brothers Podcast. 🍻🎙️

Eskimo Brothers - Episode 228 - Doomsday Trailer, MCU X-Men & The Rangers Are DEAD

Send us Fan Mail Episode 228 is here, and we've got a lot to talk about! We kick things off with our full thoughts on House of the Dragon Season 3 now that the season has wrapped up.  We discuss what worked, what didn't, and where the series leaves us heading into the future of Westeros.  Unfortunately, George R.R. Martin also gave another update that fans of The Winds of Winter probably aren't going to want to hear. Then it's time for a ton of entertainment news coming out of D23, especially from Marvel.  We break down the new Avengers: Doomsday footage, react to the newly revealed MCU X-Men cast, and discuss everything else Marvel has coming our way.  We also talk about how we're getting closer to finding out who will become the next James Bond. Netflix is keeping the true crime train rolling as well, with the next installment of Monster focusing on the infamous Lizzie Borden story, and we're definitely looking forward to checking that one out.  As always, we also take some time to pay our respects to the legends we've lost over the past couple of weeks. Then we get into sports.  We discuss the latest drama surrounding the WNBA, but more importantly — FOOTBALL IS BACK!  The NFL preseason is officially underway, which means we're finally getting close to the start of another NFL season. And then there are the Texas Rangers... We're done.  We go absolutely nuclear on the organization after watching what has been a frustrating, disappointing and painfully mediocre season.  Whatever hope we had left is basically gone, and it's time to talk about where this franchise goes from here. Finally, we wrap up Episode 228 the only way we know how, with another completely insane story, this time involving a woman in Florida.  Because apparently Florida never lets us down when we need something ridiculous to end the show. Marvel, Westeros, football, Rangers rage and Florida insanity, another normal week on The Eskimo Brothers Podcast. https://linktr.ee/eskimobrotherspodcast

Send us Fan Mail Episode 227 is absolutely loaded!  We kick things off by breaking down all the biggest announcements from San Diego Comic-Con, including everything happening in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  We also discuss Spider-Man: Brand New Day smashing box office records, the long awaited Days of Thunder sequel with Tom Cruise returning as Cole Trickle, and Glen Powell stepping into the role of baseball legend Lou Gehrig.  We also review a pair of fascinating Netflix documentaries, Toxic Love Story and The Idaho Murders, before discussing why Jared Leto has found himself making headlines for all the wrong reasons.  As always, we take time during our RIP segment to honor the legends we've lost over the past couple of weeks.  On the sports side, we check in on the Texas Rangers and are excited to welcome special guest Jared Sandler, the Rangers' television pregame and postgame host and radio broadcaster.  We talk Rangers baseball, the season so far, and what fans should expect moving forward.  We also dive into the latest from NFL training camps as football season gets closer by the day.  To close out the episode, we wrap things up with another unbelievable news story involving Donna Mills' surprising new business venture that you won't believe.  Movies, sports, documentaries, exclusive interviews, and the usual insanity, it's another packed episode of The Eskimo Brothers Podcast.  Cheers! http://linktr.ee/eskimobrotherspodcast

Eskimo Brothers - Episode 225 - Movie Reviews, House Of The Dragon Cooking & World Cup Chaos

Send us Fan Mail Episode 225 is packed with entertainment, sports, and one of the most disturbing stories we've ever discussed.  We kick things off by reviewing the latest movies we've seen in theaters, including Jackass: Best and Last and Supergirl, before running through all of the biggest movie projects that have recently been announced.  We also check back into Westeros as House of the Dragon Season 3 continues to impress and quickly becomes must watch television.  In gaming news, GTA 6 continues to shatter expectations with reports that pre-orders have already surpassed an unbelievable $3 billion in sales.  We also take a moment during our RIP segment to honor several legends we've lost over the past couple of weeks.  On the sports side, we break down the FIFA World Cup knockout stage, discuss Team USA's performance and chances moving forward, and check in on the Texas Rangers, who are finally showing signs of life but still haven't convinced us they're ready to become true contenders.  As always, we wrap up the episode with one of the craziest news stories you'll hear all week a shocking case involving a hospital orderly accused of stealing human remains and committing acts so bizarre they sound like something out of a horror movie.  Movies, sports, gaming, and complete insanity... it's another episode of The Eskimo Brothers Podcast.  Cheers! https://linktr.ee/eskimobrotherspodcast
