Adrian Allen

The GymCraic Podcast is your go-to show for everything health, fitness, adventure, travel, and, of course, a bit of fun. Hosted by me, Adrian Allen, the podcast features interviews with incredible people I've met along my journey—from my life-changing solo fitness holiday in Phuket in 2013 to five years of coaching in Thailand and Bali. Now back in Australia, I'm fully immersed in IRONMAN training, backyard ultras, and Hyrox training while coaching at Fitstop, working full-time as a sparkie, and connecting with a community of like-minded individuals dedicated to improving lives.

#58 - Choosing Your Values and Learning to Live by Them

Most people know their goals. Very few know their values. In this episode of The GymCraic Podcast, I go into the idea of living according to your values and why it’s one of the most important things i think i can do for longterm fulfilment. I break down the four values im trying to guide my life right now, freedom, health, connection, and creativity and how they influence everything from the way I train, to the work I do, to the relationships I build. But I also talk honestly about the fact that right now I’m not fully living in alignment with all of these values as of right now . Like most people, I sometimes drift away from what truly matters. This episode is about recognising that, reflecting on where I’m at and consciously redirecting myself back toward the life I actually want to build. Sometimes we chase achievements without asking if they truly matter to us. This conversation is about stepping back, getting clear on what you stand for, and making sure the life you're building actually reflects it. Keywords: personal growth, endurance mindset, values, self-development, life direction.
