Those who accept forgiveness recognise that they already have everything. It is for us to remember to use the mind in the right way. Rather than relying on personal interpretation, we learn to offer the mind to Spirit, allowing miracles to replace judgment and restore right-minded perception. One of the participants shares about a strong judgment she has toward someone in her prayer circle. Jenny Maria shares that on her own journey, many “provocative” and “challenging” characters appeared, and these relationships became classrooms for forgiveness and healing. Any time there is a challenging encounter, it reveals to us what is ready to be released and offers an opportunity for us to shift our painful perception. Another participant expresses about the fear of love — the difficulty of truly receiving it and allowing it in. Jenny Maria points to the deeper teaching that the world itself is the manifestation of the belief in the loss of love. The path, she shares, is one of emotional healing, where feelings must be allowed to rise so they can be seen with acceptance, and in that light they dissolve. Returning to the miracle principles, Jenny Maria reminds us that miracles reawaken awareness that the Spirit — not the body — is the altar of Truth. Healing comes as we shift identification from form to Spirit and allow miracles to shift our perception. Beneath that resistance is a distorted image of the Holy Spirit — a subtle suspicion that Guidance may not truly have our best interests at heart. At the same time, the ego presents itself as a loyal friend, promising protection and control, yet repeatedly leading us into suffering. Part of awakening is unmasking both illusions: the false image we place on the Holy Spirit, and the ego’s false friendliness. Barret reminds us that trust grows through experience. We are not asked to trust far — just to take the next obvious step. Each small willingness eases fear and strengthens confidence in the Spirit's Guidance. In a helpful exchange with a participant, Barret encourages balance on the healing path — allowing emotions to surface, but not becoming fixated on the shadow. This is not meant to be a grueling journey through darkness. Joy is essential to remembering on the path to Home. The Satsang closes with the powerful declaration from ACIM Lesson 216:  “I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me.” The A Course in Miracles text reading is from Chapter 25. VIII. The journey is already complete, yet forgiveness is needed as we seem to look back on what has gone by, allowing the illusion itself to gently dissolve. The beginning part of this session highlights the difference between experience and vision. Experience cannot be given, but vision can. Christ’s vision looks beyond bodies, beyond personal identity, beyond stories of birth and death, and beholds only the light in the Son of God. The teaching comes alive through sharing around fear, control, and the experiences of power struggle within relationships. Jenny Maria points to the subtle moment where a power struggle truly begins — the thought “I don’t want to give in.” From here, surrender is re-framed not as giving something up or losing anything, but as strength. What once seemed necessary no longer serves, and now surrender will serve. A participant later shares gratitude for the openness of the sharing and the clarity of the response, recognising how deeply supportive and illuminating the exchange was.
