Restoring Youth through Restorative Justice

"We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children" — Unknown Children are the future and, yet, they aren't considered when policies are created that directly effect them. Our podcast regarding restorative justice discusses power imbalances that may do more harm than good for youth in schools. This podcasts address disproportionate disciplinary actions such as zero-tolerance policies, lack of student voices in curriculum building and school policy creation, and disregarding students' personal needs and concerns. Take a listen in on our interview with parents and students of the Newark, NJ community in which they showcase their experiences and share their insights on this pressing social justice issue directly effecting our youth — future leaders of our world.
